Double bedroom in family house, suitable for singles or couples with access to private bathroom with shower and bath. Shared use of kitchen, living and dining rooms. Fast trains (Thameslink) to Central London (25 mins) from Coulsdon South and Gatwick and M25 and M23 by car. Free parking available on the driveway. Very close to Avenue Verte cycle route to Paris. Shared house with the host, my wife, one adult son, a cat and a small dog. Wash hand basin in the room with free tea and coffee. Recently decorated room with double bed and wash hand basin. Shutters and curtains to window overlooking rear garden. Wooden floor with rugs.

An absolute gem! Chris and Linda redefine hospitality with their warmth and incredible helpfulness. From the moment I stepped in, it felt like being welcomed into a friend's home. The room was impeccably clean and tidy, with thoughtful touches like fresh towels and an array of shower products. Plus, the company of their adorable pets, Tilly and Kitten, added an extra layer of charm to the stay. Linda's baking skills are unmatched, and the welcome treat she prepared was a delightful surprise. The room also boasted a variety of coffee cups and teabags, catering to every preference imaginable. The surrounding area is simply beautiful, and with the train station conveniently nearby, exploring London's city center was a breeze. And let's not forget the added convenience of free parking right in front of the house! Chris and Linda have created a haven for travelers, combining comfort, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality. Can't recommend this place enough! We will definitely come back!

Stayed with Chris and Linda just for one night unfortunately. The accommodation was perfect. Bedroom was spotless with everything and more you need for a comfortable stay. The bathroom right next door to the bedroom was perfect too. Everything was new and top quality from the soap to the variety of teas and coffee. Can't fault this accomodation at all and the hosts were 100% too.

Chris and Lindas room was fab. Such a cosy room with everything you need for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Both Chris and Linda were very welcoming and attentive. The room and bathroom was spotless. The homemade flapjack was delicious and they have a great selection of teas and coffee. Great location with a bus stop outside the door. I would highly recommend Chris and Linda's room. Thank you.

Coulsdon is located on the south side of London, about 13 miles to the centre (about 30 minutes by train). Coulsdon is a suburb of the London Borough of Croydon and is mainly residential in character.
The property is located halfway between Coulsdon Town and Old Coulsdon. Coulsdon Town has a number of supermarkets and other smaller food shops, hairdressers/barbers and beauty salons plus a mix of other shops and services. There are a number of restaurants and cafes in Coulsdon Town including Pizza Express, Los Arcos (Spanish Tapas) , the Pembroke pub, Caffè Nero, plus Indian, Thai, fish and chips, fried chicken shops etc. There is also a Post Office and a number of chemist shops including Boots.
Old Coulsdon is much smaller with a pub called the Tudor Rose, Indian restaurant and fish and chip shop, plus cafes, deli and general grocery/tobacconist plus a Post Office and Chemist.
There are a number of parks in the area, plus Farthing Downs and Happy Valley which is a very large area of undulating hills with woods and open grassland, with a view of Central London (on a clear day).

Located close to Coulsdon South Train Station, with trains to London Bridge, London Victoria and Gatwick. Easy access to M23 and M25 motorways. On the number 60 bus route, which is also the night bus route from Central London.
Parking in the area is generally good, with on-street parking available (with some restrictions), plus car parks in Coulsdon Town.
There is one parking space available at the property for guests.
