Come and enjoy an authentic London experience in a Londoner's flat while we're away. An affordable and fun way to spend time in the city. The flat is spacious and light, situated on the corner of the street with a great view and good access to public transport and the centre of London. The area is lively and diverse with lots of great restaurants and bars. It is situated on East Street, home to the famous East Street market which is great for the London market experience. The flat is comprised of a combined lounge and kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom. It is on the first floor of a Victorian townhouse. Situated on the corner of the street and wrapping around the building, the flat has great light and windows all around. We have a King sized bed in the bedroom and a double sofa bed. We are big plant lovers so you'll find lots of different plants dotted around. Please note that our flat is not a hotel but a home, as Airbnbs used to be. We rent it out when we go on holiday so it is very much lived in. Although we tidy away as much as we can for guests, our belongings remain. If you are looking for a more hotel like experience then we would recommend looking at other options.

Super appartement avec beaucoup d'objets à disposition (pour la cuisine principalement). Les hôtes sont très gentils et réactifs. L'arrivée et le départ sont faciles grâce à une boîte à clés. Seul bémol, l'emplacement de l'appartement qui se situe à une vingtaine de minutes en bus du centre de Londres. Toutefois, cela ne nous a pas trop dérangés car l'arrêt de bus se trouve à 5 minutes de l'appartement et il y a de nombreux bus durant toute la journée et la nuit. De plus, ils sont un bon moyen de découvrir la ville.
La casa è molto carina, luminosa, ordinata, rifinita con buon gusto e piena di belle piante, ci siamo sentiti a casa! Ci è piaciuto anche il quartiere multietnico con il mercato sotto casa dove abbiamo comprato frutta e verdure fresche. Ci siamo sentiti sicuri nel quartiere che è fornito di tutto; dalla biblioteca, al parco, al supermercato, ai tipici charity shop, i bus e . I proprietari ci hanno lasciato a disposizione tutto, la cucina è ben fornita e il bagno è spazioso e lo spazio nell' armadio è stato sufficiente. Il letto matrimoniale è abbastanza comodo. Chi invece ha dormito nel divano letto ha detto che non è comodo per dormire per piu' di una notte . E' una casa in cui noi ritorneremmo volentieri in due, anche per la grande disponibilità dei proprietari gentilissimi , generosi e accoglienti . Grazie!

Wir haben in dem schönen Apartment sehr wohl gefühlt. Schöne Einrichtung und viele Pflanzen. Sogar frische Blumen! ( Dankeschön 😘) Besonders der Blick auf die Straße auf der immer was los ist und den East Streat Markt hat uns gut gefallen. Es fahren kaum Autos in der Straße und wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Morgens rumpelt es etwas wenn der Markt aufgebaut wird aber dann wird es wieder ruhiger. Wir haben die sehr netten Nachbarn kennen gelernt und auf dem Markt leckeres Essen und schöne Stoffe gekauft. Super Gegend!

Our neighbourhood is a diverse, working class, inner city area of London. It is vibrant, bustling, noisy and alive but it may not be for everyone. If you are looking for a quieter or wealthier area to stay in then we would recommend looking at other options.
The flat is in an area called Walworth, though it is often referred to as Elephant and Castle which is better known and adjacent. The area has developed a lot over the past 15 years. Just to the north of our flat you will see a lot of new build tower blocks, especially centred around Elephant Park while to the south and around our flat is a more traditional, working class area so we really lie between the new and the old. It is therefore a very mixed and interesting place to be and you will see all kinds of people around, giving a more authentic experience of London.
Our flat is well positioned in south London, not far from the centre and with easy access to the tube and buses.
Tube / Underground / Metro
The nearest station is Elephant and Castle which is on the Northern (via Bank) and Bakerloo Lines. The station is about a 15 min walk.
Kennington station is a 15 - 20 minute walk today and is on the Northern Line (via Embankment) - better if you want to go to Leicester Square or Covent Garden.
Buses
Due to its position, there are many buses running from near the flat to places all over London and I would recommend this if you are not in a rush. It's also a great way to see more of London. Most buses run from either Walworth Road or Old Kent Road.
