great location to access downtown milwaukee and the lake!
We enjoyed our stay here, the room was clean, modern, and cute. The only thing I felt like it needed was blackout curtains to make the room more comfortable.
Gorgeous vintage building restored to its original beauty, Dubble Dutch is situated in a quiet residential area right next to the lake and downtown. Perfect location! The interior is gorgeous, the room was exactly right for overnighting. My main concerns are always the shower, bathroom, and bed comfort. All were excellent. The high-ceilinged subway tiled shower was a spotless modern take on vintage styling, as was the roomy bathroom. The ultra modern Toto toilet and useful lighted mirror was complementary to the beautiful black and white octagon tile reminiscent of my grandmother’s home. All the instructions were complete and straightforward. Super easy entry and departure. We will definitely return for a stay!
Loved my stay!
Very torn on this stay. On the positive note the place was a very stylish room, with black fixtures and white subway tile etc. It was also a beautiful building with an attached cocktail bar which I would have loved to try but didn’t get an opportunity (heard great things). Check-in process was very easy and smooth (completely self-serve!). However, the room was entered when I was not clothed my first morning there which put me on edge considering I was under the impression I was the only one with my room code. Host was responsive & apologetic about this occurring but still put me on edge. There was no daily cleaning for the rest of my stay, so unsure as to why/how. There were also a handful of bugs in the room throughout the weekend, which although they didn’t bother me much - may bother other guests. Last negative was the price of the room being pretty high for what you get. I paid over $1100 for the room for Thurs. - Mon. so definitely one of my more expensive AirBnB experiences.
