- In a very unique location, this hidden gem is nestled between the edge of the downtown shopping and dining district and a small woods overlooking the Wisconsin River valley. This apartment is probably the most secluded and closest ground floor apartment to downtown. Located on the ground floor of a two story building, overlooking the area that includes the river and the bike/walking trail that runs along it, the whitewater kayak course and city parks.
- Great for busy guests, private and easy access, and secluded enough for a relaxing getaway right in the city.
-This apartment is the ground floor apartment in the only residential house in a non-residential area. It sits at the outside corner of where two streets form a 90degree turn, with a wooded area on two sides, the apartment's paved parking lot on one side, and a business area on the other side. The house sits past a commercial office building, and kitty-corner to an antique mall building(now shut down, and being remodeled for new future use). Traffic is minimal; the main traffic is US Postal Service delivery vehicles leaving/returning from their routes during normal business hours.

o 3 blocks to Jalapenos Mexican restaurant at south end of 3rd St –Wausau’s “poshest”(!) shopping district-and access to other shops and restaurants going to the north on 3rd St.
o 2-3 block walk to Oak Island park, which includes a modern kids playground, public tennis courts and boat landing, and walking paths on Fern Island.
o 4 block walk to 400 Block (concerts, arts festivals, Grand Theatre, winter ice rink)
o 5 blocks to St. Mary’s Oratory (Traditional Latin Mass Catholic Church) and Wausau Conservatory of music
o 9-10 blocks or 15 minutes walk north on walking path along the river to WOW family entertainment center (arcades, restaurant, laser tag, etc) and Briq’s Ice Cream shop, next to very large modern "kids of all ages" playground- all right on the Wisconsin River.
o (Outdoor recreation) Approximately 12 minutes drive to Granite Peak downhill ski area, 15 minutes to Rib Mountain State Park, and within 20 minutes of several mountain bike sites.

- Those seeking to stay in a residential neighborhood. THIS IS NOT A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD. It is not gentrified, nor “authentic”, nor trendy. It is sort of a “forgotten corner”, but it IS very close to downtown.
