The Gilmore’s cabin was absolutely wonderful for our visit to the Park Rapids area and everything was fantastic from start to finish! Angie reached out well in advance of our stay to give instructions and tell us about the house. When we arrived, we noted the immaculate cleaning of the house and it was fully decked out in holiday decorations, unlike many other Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in. My friends visiting from CA loved their separate bedrooms and the hot tub was AMAZING during the cold evenings overlooking the frozen lake. The kitchen was well stocked with filtered water, spices and cooking apparatuses. The host notates the need for a 4 wheel vehicle and I’d like to reemphasize this. It wasn’t snowy for our trip, but I’d imagine the dirt road the house is on can get pretty sketchy at times in the winter. Thanks for welcoming us, and we hope to be back the next time we come to town!

This was our second stay and we loved it even more this time. I was once again struck by how well stocked the place is, especially the kitchen--dishes, appliances, basic ingredients--and how everything is set up to be cozy. So many blankets, perfect for cuddling in front of the wood fireplace. We love the hot tub set up, with views of the lake and the stars above, being able to step right into the bathroom for a shower to warm up from the cool fall air. We definitely plan to return and can wait!

Great lake house with character! Specially love the wood work and copper sinks! Location was amazing even being too cold to enjoy the lake. Really looking forward to staying again in summer.

We’ve stayed in MANY Airbnbs and this was one of our favorites for sure. What a great and responsive host (Angie), all the amenities, amazing views, and such a peaceful getaway. Would definitely stay again.
