An excellent accommodation for transformational travelers seeking the cultural experience of Andros. The residence is situated in the preserved settlement of Ypsila near the capital of Andros. Tranquil Chateau was built in the early decades of 19th century and was abandoned in the mid 20th. In 2005 was fully restored according to the traditional technique which involves stone, clay and wood as construction materials.

La maison est très belle, bien que pas très lumineuse - c'est la construction qui veut ça, fraicheur avant tout ! Il y a tout le confort necessaire. Le jardin et la cuisine d'été sont charmants et donnent au lieu un grand avantage, et nous y avons passé la plupart du temps. Malheureusement quand nous y sommes allés le canapé lit venait de rendre l'âme. Alex a été super gentil réactif mais certains d'entre nous ont du dormir sur des lits de camps. Peut être l'occasion de rendre le coin salon un peu plus cosy ? Super taverne a côté. Nous recommandons !
Nur mit Auto oder Taxi erreichbar. Ruhige Lage mit sehr guter Ausstattung und wunderbarer Aussenküche zum Grillen, Backen und Kochen im Gartenbereich. Für Ruhesuchende absolut zu empfehlen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind dann unten in der Stadt (10 min. mit Auto). Die Taverne in nächster Nähe bietet einen tollen Blick auf die Stadt.
The stay at Alex house has been perfect! This charming old house has been tastefully renovated and we receive it perfectly clean and tidy, we also find some nice unexpected details. The beautiful and comfortable house is located in a wonderful and quiet neighbourhood surrounded by nature, on a hillside with magnificent views over the sea and the small and beautiful town of Khora, capital of Andros, which is only 10 minutes away by car, and where we can find everything we need, supermarkets, small shops, restaurants and bakeries with delicious products. The town is very beautiful and quiet, and it is always a pleasure to walk through its small streets and enjoy the friendly hospitality of its inhabitants. The house has everything you need to spend a perfect stay and next to it there is a garden with olive trees where there is a barbecue and an outdoor kitchen where you can enjoy a meal in an idyllic place. Alex and his mother have been unbeatable hosts, Alex was always attentive to solve any question or need during our stay. If you visit Andros do not hesitate to spend a few days in this spectacular and privileged place, you will not regret it. 200% recommended!
Extremely practical location, very close to Andros town, in a picturesque setting. Great exterior space for barbecue. Not really suitable for toddlers (stairs) but overall well arranged. Thank you Alex for the great stay !
We had a great stay at Alex house. Alex was there when we arrived and helped us to carry the luggage to the house. The house is situated in a great spot, private and with nice views. The house is of a great quality renovation stone house, following the tradition of the island. It also has a separate barbecue and eating area which is great for relaxed dinners, reading or for the kids to play. The house has all the amenities needed and easily can host 5-6 people. The area is close to Andros town and a few minutes drive to the beaches. There is a nice restaurant on a short walk distance. We recommend it 100%
