Except this is even better, allowing you to enjoy a little quiet on the patio or a stroll across nearby Tooting Common, whilst the beckoning city lies close at hand, with Streatham station just minutes away; ready to whisk you to London Victoria for handy connections to the city centre and Heathrow Airport. Large windows, patio doors and that rather enviable glass wall fronting the top-floor bedroom help melt the boundaries between house and garden, bringing the light and freshness of outside inside. An eye for design enhances this in the kitchen and living room, where you'll find crisp interiors and soft tones — the former affording views of the garden from a family-sized, cottage-style table; and the latter lifted by plush, sky-blue sofas and a strikingly beautiful canvas. A comfy library room, swathed in crimson, delivers a bit of country manor grandeur, plus an inviting extra space to cosy up in with a good book — or perhaps a little music on the piano. Mullioned windows add a pinch of old-time charm to the bathrooms too, although those free-standing bathtubs have all the charm you could wish for on a relaxing evening in. The bedrooms are equally delightful, boasting double beds and oodles of light. We've a soft spot for the ruched curtains and antique-style bed frame, but special honours go to the top-floor bedroom, with its arched ceiling, garden views and sleek ensuite. We love... If you're looking for a little tranquility during your stay in the busy city, this home offers the best of both. Set back on a quiet, leafy street and boasting a charming, tree-screened garden, you can galavant around London and be back on the patio enjoying an al-fresco meal, or a doze in the hammock, before the day's out. This home is set over three floors. A dog usually lives here but will not be around during your stay. Well-behaved pets welcome on request. The study includes a double sofa bed to sleep an extra two guests. You'll find two fireplaces available in each of the living rooms; one gas and one log. There's a utility room featuring a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Close to up-and-coming neighbourhoods of Peckham and Tooting Bec, Streatham’s star is very much rising. With streets lined with gorgeous art deco mansion blocs and Victorian arts-and-crafts era townhouses, this neighbourhood (in parts) can rival beautiful Hampstead. The Rookery, a secret garden hidden at the top of Streatham Common, boasts lush lawns and even a water-fall. If you’re after a bit of a thrill, Streatham’s ice rink is home to the Streatham Redhawks, one of London’s professional ice-hockey teams – a sport which is gaining traction and popularity in the capital.

Our rental homes are predominantly privately-owned, lived-in homes in vibrant neighbourhoods. Thanks to our fully managed service, when you stay in a Veeve property you can benefit from the spaciousness, personal style and relaxed feel of a home – but with all the amenities of a hotel. Once a booking is confirmed our Customer Service team will become your main point of contact and get in touch with you to organise your arrival at the property (including airport transfers, upon request); after which our on-the-ground management team will look after all aspects of your stay, with in-stay support available to help with any queries. We have strict cleanliness guidelines for our cleaners and all staff who enter our properties and have reinforced existing cleaning procedures in line with official WHO, British and French government guidance. As always, our team ensure that all properties are cleaned to a professional standard before and after each stay, with increased focus on touch-point cleaning (door handles, kitchen surfaces, kettles, taps etc.). All staff who enter properties will follow the below procedures: - Carry and regularly use alcohol-based hand rub - Sanitise their mobile phones - Focus extra attention when cleaning key touch-point areas (door handles, kitchen surfaces, kettles, taps etc.) - Wear protective gear where appropriate - Wash and disinfect work shoes We might be able to arrange for property viewings, upon request, for stays of over 28 nights. Please be aware once a booking is confirmed you will be required to complete a Rental Agreement and also ID verification via our partners Superhog. This is mandatory for all our stays and in accordance to short lets requirements with Veeve.
