Beautiful views. Lovely to have a fire, and to have wood provided. Plenty of kindling in the field! Mike was very responsive and helpful, and came in very quickly to check on something when we asked. Well equipped and easy to use kitchen. Very clean rooms and bathrooms, and a lovely atmosphere. Big dining room. Books, maps and DVD collection. Felt like being at home. Good value. Thank you!

Beautiful house in lovely countryside finished with a lot of thought and to a high standard. We were a family group of 4 generations and it was perfect for us. We would love to go back for longer.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing the Derbyshire house is. It is a simply stunning location, and waking up to see the sheep and hear the cows was fabulous. The house was perfect. Really two houses connected by a large dining room. Plenty of space for everyone, and had everything we needed. Mike and his team were fantastic and always super responsive and incredibly nice. It was a great home base, situated an easy drive to so many interesting things to see and do. Being right in between Bakewell and Buxton was perfect. Bring your Wellies for the walking trails - you won’t regret it!

rock lodge farm was an ideal location for our family gathering. the farm was homely, well maintained and comfortable with plenty of space to roam. the hosts communicated effectively and responded to queries. all in all a lovely weekend break with lots of places to explore. we thoroughly recommend the farm and would love to return

Beautiful place-spacious and well equipped. We were lucky with the weather for January, and had some great walks. We had 9 adults in our party, so didn’t use all the beds. I would say, we were surprised to find that one of the bedrooms had a half height door, but I guess children would have enjoyed this! Quite a difficult single track lane to access the property, with no passing places- not normally a problem as it’s very quiet. We were unlucky to meet a tractor, so had to reverse back to the property entrance. A couple of small niggles, but nothing that would put us off visiting again.
