What a memorable weekend! Ross was super helpful with local information and responsive when we asked for help. The house is beautifully furnished, spacious and very cozy-the beds were really comfortable. With the train station less than 10 minutes away, we left the peace of the authentic countryside to explore Orvieto, Todi and Amelia during the days and returned to cook and enjoy the evenings at “home”. We appreciated the large and well-equipped kitchen (as well as the fresh produce available in town despite the month of March). One evening, while eating dinner with the wood stove burning, we noticed deer grazing on the hillside outside the dining room window. Incredible. Will definitely return. Great spot!

My friends and I spent a wonderful weekend at Casa Serena this month. The house was very clean and comfortable and easily accommodated our group of 6. Communication via email with Ross was smooth and easy, he arranged for the housekeeper Angela to meet us on arrival to give us keys and we had exclusive use of the house in complete privacy for the rest of the weekend. The location and views, immersed in nature, were spectacular. We found everything we needed (groceries, etc) in the town nearby but would recommend having a car as the walk up to town is a bit of a hike (about 30 minutes uphill!). The drive from Rome took about 1.5 hours but Angela mentioned there is also a train from Rome and pick-up service could be arranged if necessary. On our way back to Rome, we stopped by Amelia for lunch and to explore the town - really pretty! Highly recommend Casa Serena -- perfect for a family or a group of friends looking to enjoy a peaceful time in the countryside.
