Lovely location, peaceful and it was delightful walking the dogs along the paths by the horses/fields. Great sized rooms, plenty of space to relax and it's only 3 miles from the nearby town with plenty to see and do in the area. The only minor downside for us was that these are terraced cottages and the other guests were quite loud so it made it less peaceful enjoying the seating area - I didn't grasp how close the other cottages are from the pictures. We had plenty to do whilst staying so it wasn't a huge issue but usually having some privacy is high on our list when booking similar properties. I would highly recommend Wagtail and the hosts were very thoughtful and responsive .

This was a great find. A lovely 2 bedroom cottage with both en suite and a loo downstairs and a jacuzzi. The place was great to just relax in. Close to the coast and close to great hikes. The hosts were very friendly and we're very responsive to questions. It is dog friendly too. On arrival there was a little welcome package with Prosecco, popcorn ,milk and dog treats and a dog towel. There were maps available for hiking and a booklet with lots of information regarding the area.We will definitely stay there again and will recommend it to friends. 🙂

A lovely, spacious but cosy place. Almost in the middle between Whitby and York, so a perfect place to base for visits to these places.
