A nice place, he's super friendly, and responsive. They do smoke weed so if you don't like that smell be wary. The place was quite nice and pretty inside. You walk through a garage and that is a little sketch in my opinion. Just be mindful. Other than that great place and great host!
Darrick is an excellent host, and his place is lovely. I was in Seattle for a conference, and his Airbnb perfectly matched my needs. The neighborhood is quiet, residential and safe, with lots of people walking dogs. There's a great coffee shop across from a public park with amazing views of Mount Baker. And it's only a half hour bus ride from downtown, where the conference was held. His place was much more affordable and in a much nicer location than downtown. Darrick gave amazing local recommendations for things to do in Seattle, and was incredibly responsive to my any questions or requests. I hope to go back to Seattle again and stay there once more! In short, great host, great location, great value. Don't miss it!
I can't recommend staying here. I was here for six nights, and the first night the entire place smelled like weed so much, I was worried my clothes would take on the smell. The host was somewhat helpful ("i'll ask the people upstairs to smoke outside and get you an air filter") but had absolutely no care or apology for it. The other nights, it smelled like things I couldn't exactly pinpoint, somewhere between incense, cigarettes, and cooking / food. You basically share air with the people upstairs, so whatever they do, you are in it. I found that starting at 8-9 PM, there was often loud talking and banging (it's a basement unit) and it didn't find it restful at all. I also wasn't convinced the sheets were clean; they smelled kind of weird (it makes sense given the overall smells). It's spacious, the neighborhood is beautiful, and the location is great — but for me, it wasn't worth the cost or hassle.
Sleepy southern Leschi/Mount Baker Ridge neighborhood with quick access to Lake Washington, retail amenities, Parks and some of the best views of the Pacific Northwest.
Lake Washington.
Access the lake via the trails and forest steps of Coleman Park. Coleman Park is a 24 acre terraced park designed by The Olmstead Brothers in 1911. You can access the park on 32nd Ave. S. You can access the lake in approximately 10 minutes walking.
Retail Amenities.

Hey Day Restaurant on 31st Ave. S. offers burgers and salads and a full bar. Closed Mondays.
That's Amore Restaurant. American Italian on 31st Ave. S. Tables along the wester wall have an incredible view of the Seattle skyline.

Parks.
Mount Baker Ridge Viewpoint isn't technically a park, but it offers some of the best views of the Seattle skyline and the Olympic Mountains. Bradner Gardens Park is a nearby urban garden with an iconic view of the Seattle skyline and quaint NW contemporary homes. The aforementioned Coleman Park offers an assortment of trails, terraces and stairs for a surprisingly challenging walk as elevation gains are significant. Martin Luther King Memorial Park is a beautiful and understated and immediately adjacent to Amy Yee Tennis Center which is a public tennis facility that typically requires advanced reservations.
This neighborhood is an eclectic mix of architectural styles and is worth a quick stroll if you can make time. Leschi, Mount Baker and it's hidden parks offer a glimpse into some of Seattle's wonder and charm without sacrificing access to amenities and public transit. Parks are well maintained and easy to navigate.
Seattle is a large city and is continually growing. Outside of the rare car prowl or package theft, this neighborhood is safe and comfortable. Many pedestrians walk dogs throughout the day and night and 31st Ave. S. is a main thoroughfare. Should you access the lakefront at night, you'll typically encounter various car oriented meet-ups.
From SeaTac Airport, take Lightrail "1-Line" to Mount Baker Stop. From Mount Baker stop, walk to Mount Baker Transit Center - Bay 3 and take Bus 14 to 31st Ave. S. and 31st Ave S & S Massachusetts St. walk to 1539 32nd Ave. S.
TIP: It's much faster taking the Lightrail ("1-Line"). Uber at SeaTac Airport picks up in the parking garage and can get congested.
TIP 2: It may be easiest to call an Uber from Mount Baker stop. It's approximately $10 and is much faster than the $2 14 Bus.
Neighborhood is full of steep streets. Plan to walk up and down hills. There are many pleasant nearby trails and walkways. Please reach out if you would any recommendations.
