The place is just perfect. If you are a big group or a small , a couple or a family - I think this is the place for all. The estate is absolutely serene. We were a group of 10 people. Lipika (the host) and her helps were very helpful and kind to us. They made us feel comfortable. The home gives you feel of a heritage home , with huge area outside - ( Huge open spaces) where you can barbecue , play cricket , frisbee or just grab a chair and look at the river ( even with the scorching heat - Mother Nature has its charm ) . We went in April ( worst summer of all times) from Bangalore to suntikopa - but the nature welcomed us well. The nights are cool - We barbecued ( the kitchen was accessible and chef was available as well) . Multiple places to sit outside. We could access the river as well. It was just a one day & night trip - but , oh boy we had so much fun. Yes , fun has lots to do with the company - but , oh boy ! The property just elevated the fun. Thanks a ton @Lipika !

This is a beautiful heritage home set in beautiful green surroundings and close to the river. The resident caretaker family made fresh delicious meals and took great care of us throughout our stay. The place also has plenty of friendly cats and dogs who are eager to take you for nature walks in the neighbourhood.

We have recently had a family trip to Java Mane. The property is very serene, with traditional architecture, well maintained surroundings, and obedient care takers. While we did enjoy the ambience, we found the rooms congested, roof height was quite low and felt suffocating. Whenever the water heater was turned on using traditional chulla, the burnt wood smoke spread into the rooms and suffocated us. We also had issues with the Wifi for 1.5 days, we had to request the caretaker again and again to get it fixed. Besides, the food taste was average and would be great if that could be improved too.

The place is just beautiful. Very scenic and beautiful. Very much a private and nice getaway from the city life hustle. Would love to visit again. 😊

The Homestay was too beautiful and pleasant. 6 of us had been and the entire property was meant for us. A family of 12 people can easily be comfortable here. There were dogs who accompanied us through out and were very friendly. We went in September first week and hence the backwater was very close to the Homestay, like 50 steps away with surreal feeling of fresh water and greenery. Early mornings are great! Food was good and Sudhakar was kind enough to prepare as per our needs and time. Food rate was nominal. Wouldn’t mind a revisit here with more people!
