Perfect for families & small groups of friends, the cottage offers the ideal escape to nature. Open concept living space, huge treed yard, deck for BBQ’s, tons of activities/games, you will enjoy every minute. License #: STRTT-2023-031 Our cottage is the ideal getaway for a family or a small group of friends. Located a 4 minute walk from Wahnekewaning beach on a large and forested lot, this property offers privacy and space at the same time. Even on long weekends, our area is quiet and peaceful. You will love your escape to nature! BOOK A WEEKEND IN MAY OR JUNE GET 3 NIGHTS FREE! *Under the current short term rental bylaw, there is a 5 night minimum. But if you book a weekend, we will give you 5 nights at the cottage for the same price! Long weekends will need a 3 night booking (Fri, Sat, Sun) and then you will get two more nights for free. Normal pricing applies for 5 weeknights (Sunday-Friday). Send us a message to learn more!!* THE PROPERTY: * We only have neighbors on two sides. * We have a large deck at the front of the house with patio furniture and a BBQ. * Our backyard includes a fire pit, picnic table, playset, and even a brick pizza oven in the back! BEDROOMS: *There are 3 bedrooms and all come with dressers and hooks to to store and hang belongings. * Fans are available for summertime to make sure you are nice and cool (although the AC window unit does a good job at cooling the house when the doors to the rooms are open) FIRST BEDROOM: * Off of kitchen area * One queen bed, side table, fan and dresser. MIDDLE BEDROOM: * Off of TV area * One queen bed, side table, fan and dresser. BUNK BED ROOM: * Is joined to middle room with a newly installed door for additional privacy. * Bunk bed #1 has a double on the bottom and a twin on top. * Bunk bed #2 is a triple bunk bed (all twin mattresses) for bigger families. * There is a small table with chairs (perfect for kids!) and large cupboard with extra blankets/pillows/comforters, etc. FRONT AREA/SUN ROOM: * Surrounded by windows, this room is perfect to read, play games with the family or unwind even further * There is a reading nook with two arm chairs and a small table * A 4 person table with chairs is perfect for breakfast or to play games * A hutch with board games/puzzles for rainy days * A pass through to the kitchen to easily unload groceries LIVING ROOM: * The large open concept living room/dining room and kitchen area is perfect for entertaining. * A wood stove keeps things cozy in the colder months. * There is lots of space to hang out, relax and play games. The two living areas have 3 couches (one is a pull out) that are long enough for tall guests! *A TV, DVD player, game systems and CD player sound system are also available for your enjoyment. KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM: * The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you will need to cook to your heart's content. * Fridge, oven, convection/microwave oven, coffee maker, pots and pans, cutlery and a ton of glassware, cutlery and dishes are available for use. * A dishwasher makes cleaning up a breeze so you can enjoy your time at the cottage! * Staples like spices, salt/pepper, sugar, tea and coffee are available. BATHROOM: * Amazing water pressure to freshen up after the day with a full bath tub * A washer and dryer are also available making the cottage truly feel like home. Please note: we permit 6 people maximum but children under 2 do not count toward this total

Great area and place was clean.
Aidan’s place was perfect for our cottage getaway! Spacious, quiet, beautiful scenery, and peaceful. Short walk to the beach, quiet roads, and a 10 min drive to Midland. Very child friendly! I would definitely like to come back next summer! Thank you Aidan!
The extremely spacious and fully equipped cottage had so much to offer our family of adult children and several young grandchildren. The short walks to the beach (i.e. often three times daily), the pizza oven, the swing and slide set for the youngsters, and our nightly firepit chats were particular highlights for us.
a great place. Aidan was a pleasure to work with and was accommodating to add a night for us when we couldn't through the site. a great selection of movies for down time and close to everything we needed.
We loved this cottage! It is spacious, extremely clean, well organized and had loads of supplies. Aidan, the host, was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for quiet, nature and privacy this is the place. The cottage is surrounded with mature trees and lots of birds. It was so quiet! The beach is gorgeous and just a short 5 minute walk. Midland is just 15 minutes away. We loved The Boathouse Restaurant by the docks - live music, huge patio, great food and service! We will stay here again and again.

*A 5 minute (or less) walk to the beach, puts our cottage in a prime location. Wahnekewaning beach has a gorgeous white sand shoreline. It's sandbanks allow you to wade out in the water for quite a distance and it is great for children
*During high season, there is a general store/snack bar at the main area of Wahnekewaning beach
*Balm Beach with restaurants, bars, an arcade and store is less than a 10 minute drive.
*Midland is a 10-15 drive and boasts all the amenities you could need. A more detailed book with recommendations, directions and more will be provided after booking.
*30 minutes to Mount St Louis Moonstone and Horseshoe Valley
*1 hour to Blue Mountain
Taxi service is available to our cottage but the best route is by car.

I love to travel and meet new people which is why I think Airbnb is such an amazing community. I have used Airbnb with my husband in Canada, Mexico and South America. I love to spend time outdoors, especially at the beach, and am a huge fan of theatre, improv and sketch comedy. I run my own business as a Birth Doula and am also an actor and member of ACTRA, the Canadian Actors Union for Film and TV. My husband and I have two children. Our family's motto is "Work Hard, Play Hard" and we are always planning our next adventure. One of our biggest goals is a year long trip as a family before my daughter starts high school. I am respectful as a guest and very accommodating as a host. I will do anything in my power to make your stay a memorable one- for all the right reasons!
