Nestled amidst lush greenery, this hidden gem offers a serene ambiance and an idyllic setting that will leave you rejuvenated and refreshed. As you step inside, you're greeted by a tastefully decorated interior that blends modern comfort with Hawaiian charm. The open-concept living area provides a cozy space to unwind, with a plush punee (day bed) and a flat-screen TV. Large windows allow natural light to flood the room and offer breathtaking views of the Waianae mountains. Front yard - Fully fenced and gated yard with privacy bamboo. Outdoor seating area with rugs and umbrella. Nicely appointed private hot-water outdoor shower. There are two dedicated parking spots directly in front of the house for use by guests. If you prefer, you can park within the gated yard (on the gravel) while still leaving room for the host/owner Phil to come and go. Open-plan living room and kitchen - Punee (day bed), coffee table and chairs, flat screen TV. Dedicated workspace. Dining table and chairs, oversized kitchen island. Dishwasher and high-end coffee grinder (Baratza Encore Conical Burr Grinder) and coffee maker (Moccamaster). Bedroom 1 (with closet) - flexible space with a trundle bed that can be set up as a twin bed (leaving space for a desk, yoga mat, etc) or a king bed. Bedroom 2 - queen bed with storage in night stands. There is a hallway closet for use. This bedroom has a flat screen TV on the wall. Bathroom - standard amenities and a stacked washer/dryer

Such a bright and friendly space to spend a few months. The home is recently renovated so it feels clean and new. Phil lives in the back of the property so he’s always close for recommendations etc. but the space still feels like your own and very private. It’s an awesome spot to explore the north shore. It’s very close to the Haleiwa Main Street and in biking distance to beaches that are less crowded. Close to surf breaks of all levels. Would happily return to soak up some sun and surf. 🤙 🌞🌸
What a great stay! Quick bike ride to the beaches and a charming North Shore town. Brought our two dogs with us and this place was amazing for them. I was working remotely and the internet service was speedy and reliable. Our teenagers loved exploring the neighborhood and we always felt safe, no matter the time of day. Phil was always friendly, accessible, and responsive, while respecting our privacy. He was available give us rides, and even let us borrow his car on multiple occasions for trips to Honolulu. We’d absolutely come stay here again and recommend Phil’s place to family and friends.
We feel really lucky to have chosen Phil’s place. It immediately felt like home and Phil was incredibly considerate and welcoming. He is a fantastic host and human being. We arrived as strangers and truly feel like we’re leaving as friends. The interior is a lovely combination of modern and an easy-going island feel. It’s incredibly well appointed throughout and Phil’s receptiveness to suggestions was unparalleled in our Airbnb experience. It can get hot on summer afternoons, but the outdoor space is a great siesta spot and there are quiet, beautiful beaches nearby. Phil’s place is really close to Hale’iwa which has some great food and is fun to explore, while being removed from the hustle of the busier tourist spots. It’s a fantastic landing spot for exploring and easily within striking distance of Honolulu for a day trip or a night away. Phil’s place is great. Full stop, wonderful. If you’re looking for neighborhood living, you’re not likely to find better anywhere.

It is a 5 minute walk to a small cluster of shops including Wicked HI Cafe (amazing sourdough creations), Gordo’s Mexican cuisine, the Green Gypsy thrift shop, and Paalaa Kai Bakery (famous for their ‘snow puffies’!).
Hop on your bike for a 10 minute bike ride to the beach, town or the sugar mill on a dedicated off-street bike path.
