Yachats-Urbanski House TIP for getting the door to work the first time---pull the door toward you while you put in the code. I had THE BEST coastal experience at the Urbanski house. Its a great place to connect with nature, explore, reflect, recharge. Enjoy this beautiful little town on foot. Everything is within walking distance of Urbanski House: views, trails, restaurants, shops, groceries, farmers market, post office. This place is so calming and brings such a joyful feeling. I liked watching the pair of crows and their silly antics. There are lots of dishes, pots, pans and cooking utensils. Also lots of linens. The layout of the place: so many places to sit, so many windows, with an ocean view from almost anywhere is the house including the clawfoot tub.

Overall, I really enjoyed staying here. I would definitely book this place again. It's a walk or drive to get to the beach, but there are some great spots to sit and watch the waves come in within a short distance from the house. Some things I didn't particularly care for: 1. The house is heated by very noisy in-wall heaters, they came on in the middle of the night and woke everyone up. We ended up turning the heat down to 50 degrees and that seemed to solve the issue. 2. The front windows are amazing, so much light coming in, loved it! But they have a fishbowl affect after dark. There are blinds on the lower windows, but not on the upper windows at all, so anyone walking by or standing across the street after dark will be able to see everything that happens upstairs. There's a screen you can move around for some privacy, but yeah I definitely felt on display as I was getting ready for bed. Still though, great place, and great value when you visit off-season. I'll be back!

After reading some mixed reviews about the shape of this place and it’s furniture, I wanted to clear things up for others on the fence. This isn’t a sparkling new build or a lavish hotel, it’s an older home right on the ocean. It isn’t run down like some comments stated, it just has a bit of character. The chairs are older but are actually really comfy while the newer couch wins more points for style than for comfort. The kitchen has everything you need and more to cook a meal. You can watch the waves crash from the bathtub upstairs. You can cozy up by the fire for a movie night or walk right out the door and walk along the ocean front or into town. For those concerned about privacy I have a simple solution: don’t rent a home with a wall made out of windows, or draw the blinds after dark to create a more intimate experience. It’s also 7 minutes from Thor’s Well and 15ish minutes from the Seal Lion Cave. We would definitely stay here again.
