This historically significant property c 1813, is beautifully restored. Not only will you never be short of things to do at The Historic 98, but you will never be short of things to do in Geneva and on Seneca Lake! When you are not enjoying this 4 Bedroom 3 and a half bath home with two living spaces, a game room and fire pit, enjoy everything the Finger Lakes has to offer! From downtowns local shops, restaurants, tasting rooms, and cafes to winery/brewery touring, boat rentals, and more! The guest are welcome to use the entire property inside and out. It’s such a wonderful space to gather. Enter the home through the side door and be greeted by the well equipped eat in kitchen! Enter the first living room to your right or follow the hall to the second living room, first floor bathroom and game room! Play pool or darts, read one of the hundreds of books, sing your heart out with karaoke or dance under the lights of two disco balls in this fun packed game space! Through the game room you will find a door to the back yard with outdoor games, fire pit and grill! Back in the house, on the first floor, you will find ample living space to play board games, cozy up by the fire or watch your favorite shows on either smart TV! You will also find a formal dining room that will transport you back 200 years! Upstairs you will find the 2 large queen bedrooms with beautiful ensuites, as well as 2 additional bedrooms and bathroom. This property is not only amazing and located so close to downtown Geneva, but has an amazing history! This home was built by Robert Troup, a revolutionary war soldier, a judge of the United States District Court for NY, and a Western New York land agent and Manager of the Pulteney Land Office (Next Door). It's noted that Troup was a lifelong friend of Alexander Hamilton and college roommates with both Hamilton and Aaron Burr at Kings College. This property is perfect for couples, families or friends! Extremely grateful for our stay. The house was gorgeous and even better than the photos -- a rare occurrence for me! My friends didn't want to leave. There are so many good books, games, a karaoke machine, a fire pit. The rooms and bathrooms are wonderful. The yard is perfectly sized! The kitchen was immaculate and had all the tools we needed. The location is perfect. Down the street from a sweet square overlooking the lake and very close to all of downtown. The coffee place across the street is one of the best I've ever been to. My friend's daughter kept calling the home "castle house." We so enjoyed our stay and would come back anytime. One of my favorite places I've rented! Thank you so much!

My family enjoyed the quick overnight getaway very much. Game room was fun to hangout in. The house was clean, warm and inviting. The coffee shop across the street was excellent too.
Everything was perfect. Very clean, looked even better than the photos. The game room was ideal. Electric fire places in each room were a nice touch. There is a coffee shop across the street and the rest of Geneva is very walkable. Loved our stay!
The historic home was just as advertised! We enjoyed all of the living areas and game room. The bedrooms were large with very clean and well appointed bathrooms. The location was walkable to coffee, restaurants and all that downtown Geneva has to offer. Would definitely stay at this home again!

The house is a 2 minute walk to downtown, which has over 30 bars and restaurants. The property is adjacent to Pulteney Park and only a few blocks from Seneca Lake. Being at the North end of Seneca Lake, it’s the perfect location for a wine tour.
The nice thing about the location is that you do not need to drive, There’s so much to do within walking distance. However, if you wanted to do a wine trail, I have a few different wine tour companies I can recommend.
