I always enjoy Amanda and Matt's lakehouse. It's therapeutic just enjoying the amazing view from the upstairs deck or downstairs patio or the boat dock or standing in your jammy's with a cup of hot tea looking out the sliding glass doors in the morning. It's a great easy to get to piece of heaven, and I am so thankful that they decided to share it for us to enjoy. Even in the midst of a tornado warning, there was no place I would have rather been. Thankyou for making my stay extra special. Above and beyond expectations. An added plus for me was the wildlife, the ducks and herons and otter and if your lucky enough you get some really breathtaking photos to remember all.

We had a great time in this lovely home right on the lake. We took full advantage of the fully stocked kitchen and the Weber grill outside for all of our meals. The dock was a delightfully peaceful place to have a cup of coffee and watch the sun come up over the misty morning lake. We enjoyed using the kayaks to go adventuring around the quiet coves and mid lake. Never knew there was so much to see and do around this area. Hiking at the Badin Lake to see the leaf color changes and around Morrow Mountain to see the vista's and beautiful changes of color of the trees against the valley. The beds were comfortable. Only down side is for two couples: one couple had to sleep in the room with the trundle and climb over the other sleeping person to get to the bathroom. There are stairs to climb from room to room in the house, so probably not a good spot for the weak or those with very young children. The views from the house deck were spectacular, and everything else was perfect.
