Set far back from the road, it is situated on a gentle slope we like to lovingly call Wild Strawberry Hill after the explosion of tiny strawberries that can be found amidst the grass here in June. 4+ acres of forests and meadows provide a gorgeous, secluded backdrop for the sunlight-filled space. H O M E The sunny studio apartment is brand new, located above our family’s newly-built detached garage. It has a private entrance with a keypad lock, so you are free to interact with us hosts as much or as little as you’d like. Vaulted ceilings add to a sense of spaciousness and light, and cozy touches make it feel like home. Amenities include a full kitchen and 3/4 bath with a tiled shower, as well as an incredibly comfy new king memory foam mattress. A high-quality queen air mattress is available as an additional sleeping arrangement. The kitchen is equipped with brand new, full-sized appliances as well as everything you need to create a delicious meal. We are happy to recommend local markets and farm stands where you can source the best of Vermont’s ingredients. Since we both work from home, we have very speedy and efficient Wi-Fi, just as convenient for your own remote work as for relaxing on the couch, watching a movie on the Samsung Frame TV. Outside the apartment, you might choose to enjoy a glass of wine or a meal on our shared back deck in the evening light amidst the music of thrushes... or stargaze while enjoying the warmth of a fire in the Breeo smokeless fire pit. G A R D E N S We are currently planning and building an extensive vegetable garden and perennial beds, as well as planting fruiting trees and shrubs. Depending on what season you visit and how far our garden has come, we are glad to share any fresh herbs, fruits, and vegetables that we’ve grown. W I L D L I F E An incredible diversity of wildlife call this mix of forest and meadows their home. Songbirds are busy in the trees all day, while raptors soar overhead and hummingbirds buzz among the wildflowers. In the evening, you might be lucky enough to hear (or see!) one of a few owl species. Deer, fox, and even reclusive bobcats call Wild Strawberry Hill their home, and leave ample tracks on winter’s snow-covered ground. In June, luna moths visit and fireflies dot the forest.
