Mulberry Gap is your home away from home nestled in the North Georgia Mountains just ~20 minutes from Ellijay, Georgia! We’re a small family business owner and operated by Kate and Andrew Gates. The small property is surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest with a focus on connecting folks to having adventure in the outdoors! Located just 1/4 mile off the Pinhoti Trail, Mounting Biking, Gravel Cycling, Hiking, Backpacking, Trailrunning, Bikepacking, and more can all be accessed right out of the gates! And with fishing, boating, wineries, apple houses, and all the rest of the North Georgia fun nearby, Mulberry Gap is an excellent “basecamp” for your adventures! Entering our 16th year of operation in 2022, we’re so proud to be a unique and super welcoming place! Our vibe is like summer camp, but for adults. We’re a cross between a B&B, a “Glamp-ground,” and a tiny resort. With just around 15 acres, Mulberry Gap offers: - 10 Bedroom-style Cabins (1-6 person capacity) - 4 Drive-In Campsites (great for small RV or car/van camping) - 4 small traditional campsites ideal for pitching a tent or hanging a hammock - Room for 2-4 vans to find a space to park up - Two bath/shower houses - Two hot tubs - A pump track and on-site trail for biking and hiking - Shuttles to assorted trailheads available for purchase - On-site retail store (with merch, gear, nutrition, snacks, and an epic collection of craft beers and awesome wines) And at the heart of Mulberry Gap, we have The Barn! The Barn is a combination lounge, game room, TV viewing area, community hang-out, and dining hall. Amazing meals are available for advance purchase Thursday dinner Thru Monday lunch. The BEST part of a stay at Mulberry Gap is often the sense of community. Folks who come solo or as a couple find themselves making friends over the dinner tables. Every weekend sees folks who have never met sharing campfires, making plans to hike together the next day, take some craft beers down to the hot tub at night, or drive down to the swimming hole on a hot day. Its important to know that the majority of the property is set up to function as a community as opposed to independent self-sufficient cabins. The cabins are super comfortable with heating, air-conditioning, mini fridge, microwave and stocked with bedding, towels, and fluffy robes… But the individual cabins do not have their own bathrooms or kitchens. Cooking over fire, dining in town, or (most popular) reserving meals in The Barn are the dining options, and everyone should plan for a short walk to one of the comfortable shower houses (with complimentary toiletries) instead of having your own bathroom. Think of your cabin or campsite as your bedroom in your giant forest-themed house!
