This was a great stay! I went with some friends for a short weekend and the hosts were responsive and kind, but otherwise kept out of our hair (which is ideal!). The place is spacious with great amenities and there is lots of hiking to do nearby. I brought my dog and he had a blast exploring the outside area a bit. The hot tub was easy to use, and any instructions on where things were, how to use things, check in/check out, etc were clear. Hosts left a detailed handbook on things to do around, and overall the stay was beautiful, relaxing, and clean. The hummingbirds were really beautiful and fun to watch in the mornings, and of course the view was stunning. My only complaint is that I have a queen at home, and these seemed smaller than a standard queen. Suited our needs fine still, but out of the six of us who stayed, two of us were couples and so one couple unfortunately had to squeeze into a slightly smaller bed. This was not a dealbreaker - we probably still would have rented anyway, but it is worth noting. The king size bed was definitely true to size though.

The Hummingbird Haven is a gorgeous cabin, with lots of space and a spectacular view. Although the cabin was beautiful, the cleanliness of the place upon arrival was disappointing.

Consider yourselves warned. The cabin was not well maintained. We used the maintenance request option with the Hospitality App over half a dozen times with no response from property management. We emailed property management after check out to discuss our experience and they were argumentative and refused to work with us to address our negative experience. Upon check-in, we noticed a number of maintenance issues: 1. Multiple lightbulbs burned out in basically every room 2. Wooden frame of couch on main level was broken, you couldn’t sit on half the couch. 3. Toilet handles were all wrong sized, so the toilets kept running after every single flush. Very annoying. After spending more time in the cabin, a few more issues became apparent: 1. The spigot/hose faucet on the main deck was not flush with the paneling, allowing for a *significant* wasp nest to develop. There is a constant stream of wasps coming/going directly from the hole in the wall on the deck— a definite hazard that affected our ability to sit on the deck at all during our stay. No response from maintenance about this safety hazard. 2. No information was provided that the hot tub on the main deck is on a timer. It turned on in the middle of the night, created a loud buzzing vibration through the cabin that woke us up & scared us. Why set the timer for 3:30am and then not warn customers about it? 3. After making & paying for your reservation, you receive information that there will be a “starter pack” of selected supplies. This means you will not have enough toilet paper provided for more than one day. Finally, we received multiple conflicting instructions for check out. Even though we were charged a $140 cleaning fee for a 2 night stay, we were told that more cleaning fees would be charged if we did not wash all the dishes and towels/linens, and remove all garbage from the cabin. These instructions were not provided at the time of booking— I’d like to now be able to charge *them* a fee for my cleaning services!
