Hose fit our group perfectly. Pool was great. House could have used a deeper clean in bedrooms.
This house and location was perfect. We wanted a private, “non-touristy” beach. But, the mattresses felt like they were from a grandparents house, and hadn’t been changed since 1950. My back is so stiff and I’m going to need a chiropractic appointment. The hot tub was also not operational, and there were no BASIC amenities in the home. Even hand soap wasn’t supplied in most of the bathrooms (it looked like housekeeping had put shampoo bottles out instead of antibacterial soap)… which was annoying. The living area TV didn’t work with the cable system, and we ended up casting from our phones on awful Wi-Fi connections due to bad weather. The house was great overall, but it felt like the property managers weren’t maintaining the home as promised (in their marketing). We will visit Rodanthe again in July because we LOVED it, but this house won’t be where we stay.
Loved the location of this house! It had good access to the ocean side, but wasn’t far from a bay side beach great for letting the kids swim. The downside was the kitchen set up. There are no spices (including salt and pepper) in the kitchen. A little irritating to have to buy those things for a 4 day stay. All in all, a good find for a larger group.
A nice house with an ocean view to watch the beautiful sunsets. They supply toilet paper, dish soap, shampoo, and laundry detergent. Check out instructions were visibly displayed. Hot tub was very nice. Too cold to swim in pool. We liked that the house was dog friendly however there was hair everywhere!!! They ask their guests to sweep or vacuum before they leave. It was very clear the guests before us did not and the cleaning crew didn't either. It also smelled like dog and urine when we walked in and noticed there was a dried spill in the entryway that we believe was a urine spot that wasn't cleaned. Decor is a bit outdated but house was cozy. They really tried to supply their guests with everything a guest might want/need from a crib and high chair to a coffee pot and a Keurig to a toaster and toaster oven. You could tell they wanted you to feel at home.
