This is truly a one of kind stunning and spacious home perched on the sand, providing infinite ocean views from every vantage point. Seven stylish bedrooms, three king en suites, two king rooms, one queen en suite and a room with pyramid bunk, are beautifully outfitted with comfortable furnishings and their own TVs for ultimate relaxation and a peaceful night’s rest. A den with sleeper sofa offers flexibility in sleeping arrangements, but remains consistent with comforts as it, too, has its own TV and pristine views of the ocean. Entertainment is never at a loss with an expansive game room and deluxe theater room. The game room features a shuffleboard table, foosball, and pool table as well as a full wet bar with full-sized fridge, dishwasher, undercounter ice maker, plenty of bar seating, and access to the shaded ocean-facing deck. A theater room seats six with luxurious leather comfort seating that both reclines and has built-in drink holders for easy snacking. The top-floor living area is equally as lush in the open kitchen, dining and living areas. A unique octagonal kitchen boasts state-of-the-art stainless-steel appliances including double ovens, dual dishwashers, a cooktop with microwave hood, and full-sized side-by-side refrigerator. A breakfast bar that comfortably seats six also houses a bar sink, an ideal set-up for cocktail hour among friends. While a sprawling dining table is swathed in light and views of the oceanfront, the living area is lined with plush seating, the perfect gathering place for catching up on good conversation after long days at the beach. Outside, the top-level sundeck provides unmatched views of the seashore, and front-row seats to some of nature’s most extravagant wonders.

My family and I just spent two weeks at Sweet Home Carolina. This was our second year in a row staying in that house and we absolutely love it and Rodanthe as a whole. The house truly gives a new meaning to being “oceanfront” as it is mere feet from the water. The views from every room are beautiful and you can hear the ocean no matter where you are inside. The top deck is our favorite place to be - we were able to see tons of birds, dolphins, and even a few humpback whales! Meredith, the host, is absolutely great and I would recommend this house to everyone!
Staying at a beachfront home during hurricane season is always a risk, but if you do it, be glad to have a host as responsive and knowledgeable as Meredith! She was proactive and on top of everything. We felt safe and taken care of despite the bad weather we encountered. She knows the home, the area, and the best locals to help you out. Beyond the storms we encountered, the house itself was just like the photos. So beautiful, spacious and the perfect setting for a family trip. The beach was truly right outside the door and waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean is as soothing as it gets. It was an excellent stay!
Meredith was a great " host". Communication and responsiveness was excellent. We had a few minor issues when we checked in and they were immediately addressed and by the following morning the resolved. She continued to follow up ( not intrusively ) to see how things were going with our stay and if we were enjoying ourselves. Always asked if there was anything we needed or wanted. One of the best " hosts" we ever dealt with. Place was a " gem". Quality furnishings and decorations.
Meredith is a great host and the house was beautiful. We truly enjoyed our time at the beach. Seagull St, and its parking are a little challenging if you do not have AWD. Although a street, it is more sand than street. You can manage without AWD, but be prepared for a short walk to the house. The views and being so close to the ocean out the back was awesome. Ease of access to the beach was a major plus for our family. Meredith was very helpful and responsive. A pleasure to work with. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for some peace and tranquility by the Ocean.
Beautiful home in a terrific location. Quiet but close enough to some gems (recommend Alex’s shrimp shack for no frills but delicious shrimp, lobster, and crab!), large house with plenty of space for large family get together, kitchen well-stocked for cooking (although plan to bring extra paper products like paper towels, tissue, and TP), perfect beach location with easy access for long walks, and relaxing environment for people of all ages. Meredith is easy to contact and very responsive.
