We had a wonderful time staying at this property! It's a beautiful house right on the beach that is elegantly furnished and fully stocked with dining essentials. We ended up cooking more than eating out as there were limited food options near us given our vegetarian diet. Rodanthe feels secluded (which is what we wanted!) so would recommend stopping at a grocery store on your way down to stock up on supplies. Just be aware of the parking situation, we could not park in driveway since we didn't have 4x4 vehicle, so it might be helpful to bring a little wagon to help trek everything in&out of the house. We did have an issue with the AC not working properly which took a day and half and a couple of service visits to fix however, Meredith (host) was very responsive and thoughtful throughout which we really appreciated. She also spent almost an hour on the phone with us getting the TV streaming services to work so we could watch March Madness games. We would definitely recommend this place!

Meredith was extremely helpful from day one all the way through to the end of our vacation. There were some pretty bad storms in the area and she checked in so much, it was like having a family member looking after us. The home was beautiful and the surrounding area was so peaceful and relaxing. I would highly recommend any family to come and stay. You won't regret it.

Pros: The rooms are very nice and the patios overlooking the ocean were jaw dropping. The kitchen was fully stocked and clean. The house had a great layout and dining room was incredible overlooking the water. Cons: One of the rooms was partly flooded on the lower floor (we believe due to a hurricane from the week before), it smelled like mildew so we didn't end up staying in that room. Additionally; the driveway flooded with water the second day. Cars almost got stuck. Ultimately, the biggest concern with the house is how close it is to the water. I never thought I'd actually say that, but the beach house is slowly facing erosion and flooding. By the end of the week; the tides were under the house and the entire driveway and street was flooded. The week we were there; Hurricane Lee was brewing in the Atlantic, but OBX did not get hit. It's risky bet booking for how close it is to the water. I believe they are relocating the houses farther back but worth keeping an eye on.

You would be crazy to pass up this location for your vacation! This house is perfectly located for your peaceful beach vacation, put on your suit and walk off the back deck into the water. The town of Rodanthe is the quintessential beach vibe town, you don’t need to pack anything but your suit! Meredith was responsive and took care of everything that popped up quickly. She also gave amazing recommendations for some local food spots that were amazing. We couldn’t of asked for a better host and we had an amazing stay! Can’t wait to go back, we are hoping to make this a yearly vacation spot. Thank you Meredith for sharing your home with us!!

Meredith’s place was wonderful for our family gathering. We enjoyed the decks. The deck led right to beach which was wonderful, especially with small children. We didn’t have a long walk to the sand, it was just right outside our door! It was a lovely slice of heaven on the outer banks.
