Great house in a great location! Open and airy, huge deck, and of course right on the water. The listing photos do not exaggerate the perfect setting. Everything worked as it should and the kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, cookware, and appliances. This area is much quieter than further north on the OBX, but the services you need are still nearby. There is a gas station/convenience store within walking distance, and a great Filipino BBQ food truck was there during our stay! We were there mainly for birding and it was a quick drive to Pea Island, Oregon Inlet, and Bodie Island, as well as a good central base to range further north and south to see a huge variety of birds. The access road is hard-packed and should be fine for any vehicle (just drive slow). But be aware that as with pretty much all houses right on the water here, the "road side" and entrance is perched on a sandy berm that requires a vehicle with some ground clearance and perhaps AWD if you want to drive right up to the steps to load/unload. With a regular car you'd have to carry stuff from the road. It's not a big hill, but could be inconvenient if you have a lot of heavy luggage. I would stay here again! We really didn't want to leave.

This beach house can't be beat! The location is at the end of a short dirt road literally on the beach. The house is comfortable and has everything you would need if you wanted to cook a meal which I didn't! The area has some great little restaurants if you don't want to venture out to Avon or Nags Head for dinner. My son especially enjoyed chilling in his Eno under the house in the breezy shade. We definitely would stay here again in the future.

Lovely home! Perfect for a small family. Nicely updated kitchen, wonderful close beach access (literally ON the water!), and comfortable beds. We loved how they had rokus on every tv with specific instructions on how to work each tv. Sometimes figuring those things out are annoying ;) The steps inside the house are a little steep - slightly shallow. So if stairs are a struggle for you, this may cause some hardships. But we loved our stay and recommend renting here!

Great house! I cannot say enough about the location. The house itself was well laid out, plenty of kitchen items available, and comfortable beds and furniture. The sandy, potholed road is not an exaggeration so arrive within a capable car. Would definitely stay again!
