Our family had such an amazing vacation. If you are a beach person and just want to spend time with close ones this is the place. Everything was perfect for us. We loved the house being right there in Waves and on the beach. Count yourself lucky to stay here. Thank you for hosting us!

We usually leave five star reviews, but there are some things we feel potential guests should know. First the positives. The house is beautiful. The interior is well maintained with gorgeous views. It was clean, and just as pretty as the pictures depict. However, the location is a problem. There is no proper road, it has been washed away. On arrival, our car got stuck in the sand 4 houses down, we had to carry our bags through deep sand. It cost us $500 to get the car pulled out. 4x4 is not a recommendation, but a MUST. The nearest dumpster is nearly 1/4 mile away, through sand. Then there is safety. The house is literally in the water. It is a stilt house, and at high tide all of the pilings are in the water, as are the steps. The house shakes when waves hit. It made for a neat experience, but we did not feel altogether safe, especially after learning that three such nearby houses washed into the ocean in the past year. It's a lovely home, but sadly erosion has made it unsafe.

This property is all about its amazing and breathtaking location (literally on the beach). That's the ONLY thing worth recommending. Everything else was sub-par for us and quite frankly disappointing. We had issues checking in with the touchpad at front door not working properly. The house was dirty and everything was covered in hair...both human and pet. Appliances like dishwasher and washer/dryer don't work properly. The furniture is old and falling apart. The cushions haven't been cleaned in what looks like months or even years. We paid almost $3K for a week-long stay in offseason (end of Apr) and left disappointed and disheartened. Perhaps because of its awesome location guests are expected to overlook some serious gaps and shortcomings in the overall comfort and quality of the property. I would highly recommend Vacasa to put the necessary effort and take better care of this property.
