I'm a Providence native and grew up very close to the Power Pad. Some of my favorite recommendations are included in our guide book. We look forward to welcoming you into our funky home!
My group had a multi week stay at Kendre’s place. Fantastic location and great communication!
Great place! Very clean! Beds were so comfortable! It was perfect for our crew that came to visit our daughter at PC!
Fox Point is a relaxed and walkable neighborhood with a diverse mix of college students, urban professionals and academics. The area has an eclectic, cool vibe. Old and new are juxtaposed as vintage and modern meet, and shops and restaurants converge. This area played an important role in the development of Providence and many homes are listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places. A waterfront community where the Providence and Seekonk rivers join with Narragansett Bay, offering scenic bars and restaurants on the water and kayaking/sailing for outdoor enthusiast. Stroll through India Point Park along the Providence waterfront. In summer months, participate in sunrise yoga in the park taught by Providence Power Yoga. For those looking to explore other parts of the state, the Seastreak Providence-Newport Ferry operates seasonally, shuttling locals between the two cities (convenient for Newport Folk & Jazz festival attendees).
Our neighborhood is extremely walkable and safe. Throughout the city, Providence has Bird, Spin, and Veo electric scooters and bikes available to rent and cruise around town. Additionally, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (aka city bus: RIPTA) has a stop 1 min walking from the Power Pad, bus “92.” Lastly, I-195 interstate highway is less than 5 min driving from Power Pad, making it easy for travelers who want to explore broader Rhode Island (e.g. beaches) or those traveling through New England!
