The house is located within an estate of citrus, olive and mango trees and is 100 meters from the sea, within easy walking distance. It has large outdoor spaces for eating, relaxing, and barbecuing with good fresh fish. Each season will surprise you with a treat: in autumn and winter mangoes, avocados and oranges to be picked directly from the trees to enjoy a rich juice and lots of fresh fruit in summer. One enters the large living room where there is an American-style kitchen, a large typical Sicilian sideboard, a large dining table, two sofas, one of which is a double sofa bed, a large fireplace and television. From the living room you go to the first bedroom which is small but comfortable, with a bunk bed and a bathroom with shower. The living room has a beautiful fireplace and a nice heat pump and air conditioning in summer. On the other side you go to a corridor where there is a laundry room and a second bathroom and two double bedrooms. Next to the house is a hut with all the necessities for the beach. Opposite you will find wood for the fireplace and stove. It may happen that you encounter some small animals, worms, spiders and other things, we are in the country and it is part of this

Der Ort beim Francesco ist ein schönes, privates Refugium, um im paradiesischer Natur zur Ruhe zu kommen.

We loved this quiet and cosy place, surrounded by all kinds of green and fruit trees. Especially the view from the terrace towards the sea. We - a fruit-addicted family - were allowed to collect oranges, lemons and avocados from the plantage trees (perfect timing in March), which made us very happy. Francesco speaks English and is a great host, who provided us with everything we needed. The place is a bit off the touristic areas along the coast and the closeby village represents normal sicilian life. It is a perfect quiet starting point for day trips to Etna, Taormina, Catania or Siracusa, but a car is recommended. Train station Carruba is within 2km, but trips by local trains take much longer than by car. Strong recommendation from our side and big thank you to Francesco for a great vacation week.

A nice and very cosy house with many different and inviting places for relaxing, terraces for sunny days and a chimney for colder evenings. Bathrooms are basic but functional and we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The stony beach is narrow but just 50 meters away. The hosts, Francesco and his mother Alessandra were very nice and helpful with us, always reacted immediately to our demands, provided us with fresh fruit from their plantations and helped us a lot! Many thanks for a very pleasant stay!

The village of Carruba is a few hundred meters from the property and is very nice, you will find everything you need to live and very good quality food. The train station is very close but you need to take a train to Giarre Riposto and from there move around Sicily. It is quite easy to get to Catania and Taormina. I recommend having a car especially to visit the wonderful surroundings and the rest of Sicily
