The place was mostly as described however when you walked inside the apartment there was a stairway full of trash bags and litter . The rest of the place was clean. There were no hand towels or wash rags . The 2 beds had no top sheets and the pull out couch had no bedding at all . So I slept without a blanket so the person on the couch had some type of bedding . Lastly we kept hearing noises by the front window and door and it was a man looking in our windows and smoking crack . When I texted the host it took him almost an hr to respond . When he did respond he said his assistant didn’t see anyone . But we have pictures and forwarded them to him . Not what I expected from an air b&b honestly I have stayed in several and this was my first bad experience .

El Apt estaba limpio pero olía muy mal como a cucarachas. Las camas son súper incómodas, debería de comprar camas buenas aunque se pague más por que amanecimos con dolor en el cuerpo( son bases de hierro con unos colchones súper finos arriba ).En las habitaciones no hay ventilación y no tienen ventanas y tampoco hay salidas de emergencias por que es en un sótano. El comedor es súper pequeño que uno no cabe bien en una silla. No hay parqueos solo en la calle y se llena muy rápido. Wei es muy amable y responde rápido pero debe hacer muchos cambios en el lugar aunque el precio sea más caro, es mejor pagar mas caro por algo que esté bien cómodo y aceptable a algo que no lo esté.

The shower head was delightful, the rooms were nice. The temperature was perfect. Spacious hallway and big kitchen. The floors were nice and white. Host was responsive. I felt safe with the keypad and happy I didn’t have to keep track of a physical key.

L’ensemble du logement était correct… la salle de bain semblait propre mais le plancher était couvert de mouches mortes… et il y a énormément de mouches qui entrent dans le logement.. Sinon les commodités sont bas de gammes. C’est également relativement difficile de trouver un stationnement mais c’est possible. Petit plus, il y a l’air climatisé donc somme toute, nous sommes « bien » Je n’y retournerais pas nécessairement mais c’était correct vu l’emplacement & correct pour le prix

This place (284 E 169th St) was TERRIBLE! It was a partially below-ground basement rather than a "1st FL" as advertised. We didn't meet Wei, but she was friendly and responsive. Although reasonably spacious, the place had many issues. The iron gate could not be unlatched from the inside (safety issue). Someone tried to open the front door by operating the code lock while we were home. Both of the front room lights did not work (trip hazard). The place smelled like something died there. The floors and walls were sticky. There were hundreds of large flies! There was no hot water in the kitchen. An advertised cooking appliance was missing. There was fresh wet plaster with no warning right next to the bed. The upstairs neighbors were noisy well past midnight. I asked Wei to let us know what was causing the bad smell. My guess is a large dead mammal in one of the air spaces or upper apartments, but there's been no answer 13 days after checkout. It was my worst AirBnB stay.
