Treat yourself to a luxurious escape at this unique lodge. Nestled amongst the trees, you can enjoy peaceful views of the mini orchard and surrounding countryside from the sun-deck throughout the summer, or snuggle up in front of the cosy log burner during a winter break. Pear Tree Lodge has a fun ski chalet vibe: a king size bed and comfy leather sofa, plus its own kitchen and shower room. The mezzanine level has two additional single beds which can be connected to create a super king size bed. Pear Tree Lodge is a stylish open plan studio, comprising the king size bed, living area, fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Alongside the kitchen is a self-contained shower room. The lodge’s cosy mezzanine, accessed via sturdy ladder, has additional sleeping with 2 single beds, easily converted into a super king size bed if staying as two couples. Please note the mezzanine is unsuitable for youngsters due to the ladder, but teens will definitely enjoy the view through the branches of the indoor pear tree! The mezzanine beds are normally made up as singles; if you would prefer as a super king, please specify when booking. Outside the spacious sun-deck is half covered and adorned with remotely controlled fairy lights to make the most of the lazy summer evenings. With steps leading to its own garden, it also features a shingled area with bench seating. You are welcome to roam around the rest of the garden, say hello to the fish in the pond and wander across the lane to see the sheep or take a leisurely stroll down to the river where you can either walk into Langport, or head the other way along the river bank for long peaceful walks. The accommodation also has ample wardrobe space and everything you'll need to move straight in and enjoy. Take a look at the photos to see what awaits your arrival. Our stay went above our expectations. Alex is a fantastic host - So friendly and responsive. The lodge was clean and felt very cosy. Alex provided us with recommendations for walks, places to eat, and more. Thank you so much for our stay - 10/10!
We spent a lovely frosty weekend here. we found everything we needed was provided and we were lovely and warm. views on the decking for sunrise were amazing. Two teenage daughters loved the space and games provided. close to lovely walks and nice places to eat. our dog loved playing with the owners dog and watching chickens. I plan to return with my mum in the summer. Neal and Alex are warm and welcoming, making this a perfect place to stay. we're only 30 minutes drive away but due to the setting felt we were miles away from home. thank you for a lovely relaxing weekend.
11 year old said: Awesome, awesome, don’t go anywhere else. 8 year old said: (live) chickens good, dog good, love the huge back yard. I like the kids bedroom. Wife said: Bed super comfortable, super smart design, no shops to walk to I say: Brilliant. Properly rural, not country town rural. Shops are a drive away… which suits me fine. Description accurate, so read it all. Everything we needed inside including shower stuff. Toasty warm fire. Great comms. A fair few (gentle) garden steps to the cabin, which is way up back with lots of space and privacy (and a magnet for the three roaming chickens). Nice hosts. Top value.
Alex’s place is a real find! It’s an ideal cabin, beautifully designed, and with lovely comfy beds and a decent kitchen area. In summer it must be amazing when you can sit out in the deck. She and her husband Neil were very welcoming, friendly, and easy to communicate with.
We stayed with our children for 2 nights. The lodge is beautifully furnished to a high standard and has everything you need. Our children loved their mezzanine bedroom and also loved the chickens who came up the garden to visit us. Lovely position on a quiet lane surrounded by countryside and a nice walk down the lane to the river into the village. We had a day trip to Wookey Hole caves and this property provided a good base for us. We had a very confortable stay. Thank you.

We are situated in a lovely quiet hamlet, just outside the village of Langport - 15 minutes from the A303. It’s an ideal location for beautiful country walks across the Somerset Levels, along the bank of the River Parrett and through fields of sheep.
Langport and neighbouring Somerton both have lovely cafés, pubs, farm shops and antique and vintage stores. There are also local food and vintage markets every Friday and second Saturday respectively. If you're not in the mood to cook, there are several takeaways available.
Langport village also has a lively glass-blowing works, art gallery and bicycle hire shop.
There's plenty of parking space in the property’s driveway.
You can't easily get here via public transport, so you will need a car to get around.
The local village of Langport and Tesco are just a couple of minutes down the road, and there are plenty of lovely local pubs to visit!
