Located in a rural, tranquil location in the bush, next to Koofung Forest Reserve & Footsteps Eco lodge. 25 min walk to near deserted, golden, sandy beaches. Ideal for adventurous couples & solo travellers who like to get off the beaten track & experience the true Gambia. Perfect place to relax, unwind and connect with nature & local people. The tent is in its own area in a 1 acre garden full of fruits and vegetables and many types of trees - bananas, avocados, oranges, pineapple, ground nuts, guava, custard apple, grapefruit, cashew nut, cassava, papaya to name a few. The tent has a comfortable double mattress, a sitting area, storage box and has solar lighting. The waterless compost toilet is in the banana plantation and the shower block is just behind the tent. Hot water can be arranged. In another building we have a fully equipped kitchen and juice bar. You can charge your electronic devices here. The kitchen has running water, fridge and a gas cooker. Kitchen utilities include a cool box, pots, pans, plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs, glasses and fire grill. We have a large sunken fire pit which is ideal for star gazing and drumming. Sitting areas throughout the garden and a lovely shaded area with 3 hammocks ideal for chilling and relaxing to the sound of bird song. There is also our picturesque, thatched , equipped yoga shala which you are free to use. Yoga sessions available at a small additional cost. The tent is in its own area and at the other end of the garden is a beautiful good standard roundhouse which can be rented out also. Our water comes from a filtered, bore hole. 3 hammocks await. Free Bodyboard Bike available for hire Off grid accommodation with solar lighting, separate composting toilet, cold shower (hot water available)& separate kitchen. Next to award wining Footsteps Eco Lodge where meals, massage, swimming pool & internet is available. Only 5 minute walk to local shop and 30-40 minutes to Gunjur village. 25 mins stroll to a beautiful beach with 2 beach bars where sun beds and drinks are available.
