Beautiful property, main issues were very bumpy roads on the way in / slightly hard to find, lots of insects (specifically ants) in the apartment, and the host never communicated any location or check-in until the day of the reservation which made us quite anxious. Although Mystiq Temple 1 looks exactly like its pictures with great potential for luxury, there were a few things that weren’t as desirable. We verified our reservation in advance, yet no clear directions were provided to the proper Mystiq Temple; there are three in the area, but not easily accessible without taking a car especially with luggage. The immediate road to the location is not fully developed and hard to identify, so heads up. It is an area that they are in the process of being developed,so not much is in the immediate vicinity. Be ready to take a cab or rent a car. Our reservation wasn’t ready even when we arrived after 3pm. Apparently, staffing is limited to support with cleaning or property services. After a few hours wait and finally gaining access to the pent house, the rental was still not fully clean and missing towels, soap, toilet paper, garbage bags, and had a dirty pool. Nury was apologetic, but for the price and our expectations, it wasn’t enough.

Los problemas fueron que la habitacion estuvo lista a las 7 pm, no nos dieron las instrucciones para poder obtener la llave hasta muy tarde despues. Nadie respondia los mensajes tardaron horas en responder. Se fue el agua y el internet. No habia nadie en recepcion en muchos momentos para solicitar un taxi o alguna ayuda. Realmente pagamos muy barato pero de nada sirve pagar barato si las cosas sirven a medias...

Great place to stay, quiet and peaceful. It’s 10min to downtown tulum and the beach. Host was helpful in getting transportation to and from the apartment.
