Overall, a very nice place to stay. Amazing hot tub and outdoor lighting. Very nice area to stay in, shops all around and not a long walk from the sea front not to mention a lovely nice lake to walk around.
We came for a get away on the bank holiday weekend, we had a long journey (4 and half hours) and it was well worth the trip. Tim was very helpful and friendly, let us check in early and was more than understanding when I didn’t read the check in instructions 😅. The place was lovely, peaceful, clean and lots of games and activities provided for us as well as other essential such as milk, food seasonings and coffee. The hot tub was blissful and the patio lights made it very comfortable. Would come again.
Tim was a wonderful host & super quick with his replies! The lodge was very cosy & everything was extremely clean! There were board games / prosecco, bread & spread for the morning which was extremely thoughtful. Hot tub 10/10!!!! , absolutely amazing! Highly recommend & we will be back again!
Brilliant stay at ‘Miles Away’, it was peaceful and enjoyable! The hot tub was our favourite feature!
Such a let down. Hot tub was not functioning properly, only told last minute. The double bed was actually confirmed after by the owner as a small double, so, very small and uncomfortable. The toilet seat was broken, light out in kitchen, bedside lamp not working. Crumbs and dust over surfaces. Stains over the floor. No coffee machine for the coffee. The place is also overlooked by the owners house, there are no curtains in the main area and only a bright main light, so no privacy in the evening. Neither of the tvs worked. The owner said he fixed it but we had no luck after 30 mins of trying. The owner expected us to contact him for coffee and to fix the tv, but we shouldnt have to go out of our way, it should all be checked, clean and working before a stay. Was not happy for what we paid, and the owner would not negotiate a reasonable refund, considering our anniversary stay was ruined. Do NOT recommend!!
