Gosh, what to say, the space in incredible, so many little details so well planned. They styling is amazing. It's the perfect space for a retreat, the drive out feels like part of the healing journey we so often need, very much leaving the city and all its chaos behind. Can't wait to hold space here again." Wildforest Estate is such a beautiful place to hold workshops. We were able to host 11 women in this space including their accommodation. The venue is aesthetically beautiful with places you can rest ✨️ and create different spaces to relax and unwind. We look forward to returning. Thank you so much to our hosts for providing a very special to hold space for a women's workshop and retreat
The Wild Forest Retreat sits on the outskirts of a tiny rural Northland village. It's 4km from the Trounson Kauri Park where guests often see Kiwi in the wild. Tāne Mahuta is a picturesque half hour drive north.
The tiny village of Donnelly’s Crossing is occupied by 4 households of retired Brits, 6 holiday homes, 3 households of second generation locals and a handful of us who have moved here for the good life in the last 5-6 years. It’s a very friendly tight knit community.
You may occasionally get a visit from our neighbours two dogs. Their names are Knight and Missy. They are friendly and will go home if you tell them to.

自我介绍
Having been a child free to roam and sleep in the forest, after 17 years working as a photographer in Auckland I found here. An amphitheatre of wild forest in a secluded corner of Northland. A 1910 bushmans cottage, A tent pitched in the trees and a shipping container above the canopy of the forest. Luxury in the wilderness. Is there anything better? A place to listen for the quiet of the stars and the moon. To drink the wild air.
