Spent 3 Nights during the Victoria Long Weekend with my girlfriend. Absolutely loved the view and the laid back atmosphere. Stephen was very helpful and quick to respond to anything needed. Highly recommend using the sauna and be sure to get on the water to explore, just a beautiful area. To whoever books this airbnb next, i am already jealous of you :P

A hidden gem! I booked this Airbnb for a work trip since my usual hotel did not have any rooms available for my dates. I arrived later in the evening and also worked quite late while I was there. Stephen made sure the sauna was good to go when I got back. If you are looking for a spot to just relax, this is the perfect spot.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Stephen’s cottage. It was perfect for our short Thanksgiving/birthday celebration getaway. He was an excellent host, social, very responsive, accommodating, helpful, and provided us with everything we needed. The sauna was an absolute treat and a spa-like experience. Perfect views of Rice Lake for any season. There are plenty of paddle board and kayaks to use on the lake. The cottage was clean and warm throughout the day and night, and the bed was comfortable. Aside from the sauna and lake activities, another favourite part of his cottage was his entertainment room/living room. It was very cozy and warm, the lights were dimmable perfect for a movie night. I highly recommend a stay with Stephen; he was an ideal host and made our time at Rice Lake fun, relaxing and very comfortable. Thank you Stephen for hosting us! We can’t wait to come back again! 🙂

What an awesome stay! The location right on the lake is perfect. The dock was great to use. Lots of seating outside. We had rainy weather when we were there but it felt like we were still able to “spend time outside” with the views from bed and the kitchen table – loved having a TV in that area. The hosts are VERY nice! The media room is such an awesome bonus! Very cozy. Kitchen and bathroom were good. The Town of Cobourg is just under 20 minutes away where they have Wal-Mart and major food chain restaurants which was another awesome bonus. Hope to be back again!
