Here, it is encouraged to “wet your whistle” as you take in the majestic sunsets and starry nights of the Panhandle. This secluded picture ready place offers nothing shy of a wowing experience. This is more than lodging, it is a one of a kind experience in a world you have all to yourself. This stay offers 450 square feet of livable space including a full bathroom, full kitchen, living room, and a bedroom loft. The wrap around balcony and porch swing allows you mesmerizing views of the skyline for sunsets or star gazing. The Sunset Saloon is perfect for the romantic getaway, R&R escape, some good ole’ bonding time for your small family, or simply a comfortable place for the weary traveler.

This Saloon house is even better in person. It’s private and quiet and perfect for a couple’s getaway. We loved the hammocks, fire pit, hot tub, mini golf and peaceful balcony. We saw a beautiful show of stars at night too. Highly recommend!
This place is absolutely amazing. One of the best I ever rented, very peaceful and not too far from the Palo Duro canyon.
Can’t say enough good things! This is one of the best airbnbs we have stayed in. It was lovely and peaceful. Perfect after a long day of driving. Sitting in the hot tub and watching the stars was amazing. The bed was so comfortable! Hope to stay again!
This little gem has to be one of our most favorite Airbnb stays yet. It doesn’t get any more peaceful or relaxing than this. Everything from the birds chirping, the cows in the pasture, the hot tub and hammocks, and the sunset and stars….it was everything we were looking for. Thanks for the wonderful stay Ches!

The Sunset Saloon is out in the country in a very secluded place offering peace, quiet, and privacy. This location is 5 miles from Happy, TX. Palo Duro Canyon is 30 miles away. Canyon, TX is 21 miles away. The south side of Amarillo is 33 miles away. I must emphasize that this place is not down the street from a Starbucks or any 5 star Shushi restaurant so please be realistic in your reviews and do your homework before you book.
Depending on the time of your visit, cows and horses may be present. It is your responsibility to keep any gates closed that you open. A gravel road provides access to the Saloon and is suitable for any vehicle. If a county fire band is in place, the fire pit shall not be used. Non-occupants are not allowed for gatherings or parties and will be strictly enforced. The use of firearms is not permitted on the property. This facility is not handicap accessible or suitable for young children so don’t book if you are not going to supervise your children at all times. Please keep in mind that this is country living where dirt, bugs, and varmints can be present. The outdoor wooden hot tub will not be available for use if the outdoor temp. is expected to drop into the 20’s. It is a good idea to reach out to me before you arrive so I can have it ready and preheated for you, otherwise it can take several hours or more to heat up if the water is cold.
