Aufgrund eines Defektes bekamen wir ein kostenloses Upgrade für Voorhuis (anstatt Stroohuis) für welches auch diese Bewertung gilt. Die Wohnungen liegen direkt nebeneinander. Das Voorhuis ist einfach ein traumhaftes Haus. Direkt an voreerster Reihe zum Meer gegen, viele Fenster und Türen Richtung Meer und das Interieur ist wunderschön und absolut geschmackvoll und liebevoll gestaltet. Alle Utensilien sind mehrfach vorhanden. Wir hätten uns keine schöneres Haus für die 3 Tage wünschen können. Einfach perfekt!
Wir haben diesen Ort von der ersten Minute an geliebt und waren traurig, als unsere 5 Tage schon vorbei waren! So nah am Meer, dieser weite Ausblick und so einmalig, werden wir nie vergessen!
It’s our 3rd visit and it’s such a joy to be there. So peaceful and relaxing. Woutrine has been a great host and is always happy to assist if needed. Can’t wait for the next visit.
Alles in allem hatten wir eine schöne Zeit, für uns war das Haus allerdings etwas kalt, weil der Wind sehr gegangen ist und es reingezogen hat. Kommunikation war mit woutrine wirklich top und sehr liebenswert.
We loved our time at this home, it was picturesque and peaceful. The homeowner and staff were so helpful, kind, and incredibly responsive when we had needs during our stay. We saw whales just outside of the home on our first afternoon! It didn't have any aircon, so it sometimes quite cold at night, but we didn't mind. It did have a fireplace, but we were rarely home long enough to start/maintain a fire to warm the home, so we dressed warmly and used the provided heater and bed warmer. The load-shedding was very manageable during our time, often in 2 hour blocks, and it rarely impacted our stay. The community had good shops, restaurants and activities in the area - especially for those who love the outdoors.

I am 77 years old and is still married to the same husband that I met at university. We have 3 children and 4 grand children. I am a retired academic who taught drama for 30 years. I can't live without books, especially crime novels. I can not survive without a cell phone, internet and television. Remarkable if you think that they are quite late 20th century developments and I grew up without them! We love to travel through South Africa as it is a diverse country. Not only regarding the population but also regarding its changing landscapes. I need to visit the Kruger National Park at least once a year otherwise I get withdrawal symptoms. It is nature at its best. For that reason we have a smallish house in the Lowveld near the park in a nature reserve. It lies amongst bushveld surrounded by the mountain peaks of the Northern Drakensberg. I must have houses with a view otherwise my phsyche suffers. That is why we originally bought the stand in Bosbokduin and built Stroois. So that we may have uninterupted seaviews and also be surrounded by natural habitat. Voorhuis and Stroois are our beach houses, that is why we rent it out for the rest of the year when we do not use it. I have been going on summer vacations to Stilbaai since 1960 and it has been my haven throughout all these years. I do not have a definite motto for living my life. I believe in doing my best and not to have any regrets.
