The space: Drive down the circular driveway to a classically updated 1910 shingle-style Maine Summer cottage farmstead with expansive back lawn overlooking the York River. Walk onto the covered porch through the side door, where a Maine style entry foyer/mudroom welcomes you. Plenty of space to store items from a day at the beach or shopping. A butler’ pantry with fully equipped bar, sink and vintage pie safe/storage with original swinging door welcome you into a formal dining room with three original windows overlooking the river, original woodwork and ornamental working fireplace. Large farmhouse style kitchen with center island, chef’s workspace, Viking gas stove and other high end appliances. Off the kitchen is a back staircase that leads to the second floor. The formal dining room adjoins a large living room/parlor with double french doors opening to a classic covered back porch with comfy rocking chairs overlooking the river and staircase leading to the back lawn and river. The living room has multiple windows with river and forest views and comfy seating area for everyone with couches, ottoman chairs and TV. Off the living room is a formal wood paneled library with original fireplace, chesterfield couch and forest views.There is a nautical themed half bathroom and hallway leading to the main front door and main staircase leading to the second floor. Second Floor: Master Bedroom - King bed suite: Ensuite bathroom, with claw foot tub overlooking river, gorgeous tile shower and double sink vanity. Ornamental fireplace. (Bedrooms #2, #3 and #4 share a full bath on the 2nd Floor): Shower and original clawfoot tub. Bedroom #2 - 1 Queen bed and three windows in this bright room. Bedroom #3 - 1 full bed in a nautically themed room. Desk with river view. Bedroom #4 - 2 single beds. River views from all windows in this bedroom. Off bedroom #3 is a laundry room. For the months of June, September, and October, there is a 4 night minimum. For the months of July and August, there is a 5 night minimum.
