A cot (and high chair) is also available for guest use. There is a family bathroom and separate shower room. There is a small study next to the gym for guest use if needed. A welcome hamper of home-made produce is available.
Anne is the best host I have ever had the pleasure of meeting through Air BnB. She was incredibly friendly and responsive and she really went above and beyond. When we arrived there was a welcome basket including home made marmalade, chutney, cupcakes and some incredible brownies. Anne's house is next door and said they were available for anything we needed, but she made it very clear they would leave us be otherwise. The house is absolutely gorgeous. It's really large and spacious whilst still having a lovely, rustic cottage feel. It's set in such a peaceful environment where all you can hear is the constant birdsong and the odd chicken cluck from Anne's farm. The place had everything we needed (plenty of towels, bedding, kitchenware, toilet roll etc.) which all makes a huge difference. Couldn't recommend this place enough.
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. We were made to feel so welcome and were spoilt by the generous welcome basket, which Anne had tailored to our needs, even providing delicious vegan cupcakes. The home is clearly much loved and well kept, as is the garden. The house was spotless, comfortable and extremely well equipped. Lovely comfortable beds. We loved meeting the chickens. There were ten adults in our group, but we had lots of space. Anne provided a cot and a highchair for the young member of our group. We had a good walk through the surrounding picturesque countryside. Before we had even checked out, our group was discussing returning next year. Anne and Noel gave us lots of space but were available and very approachable if needs be. I would definitely recommend this house. Anne was an excellent communicator and very friendly. Noel was around to make sure we found the house okay and gave us a great welcome. Thank you both. We would really love to come back again.
Superb large country house in a rural setting fully euipped as a family home with all conceivable needs met. Very comfortable beds and seating. Very clean. Lots of outdoor space with chickens and ducks. Anne couldn't be more friendly or helpful and respected privacy of the house completely.
A very welcoming and beautiful home with friendly owners . Lots of homemade goodies and warming welcome. Would recommend staying here. Lovely country manor retreat, hope to return at some point.
Anne's place is perfect for a large get together. We - a group of 11 friends from across the UK and beyond - had a fabulous 3 night stay over new year, making big dinners in Anne's well stocked and homely kitchen and re-connecting. The house was a perfect homely base and we very much enjoyed the homemade preserves, breads and flapjacks. 100% would recommend.
It is a mile to the local shops, pubs, takeaway, antique shop, superb butcher and hairdressers in Wragby, 8 miles from Market Rasen race course, 25 miles from the coast, 12 miles from the historic city of Lincoln with its splendid cathedral and cultural attractions, 16 miles from the beautiful market town of Louth in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds an area of outstanding national beauty. Ideally, guests need to have access to their own transport, but there are buses from the top of the lane to Lincoln, Louth, Skegness, Horncastle if required. It should be noted that Wirehill Lane is a single track road with grass growing up the middle. Parking is freely available in the local village of Wragby. The nearest mainline station is Lincoln, although Market Rasen has a local station 8 miles away.
