Come stay at our magical tiny house with a yellow door! A lovely retreat tucked away with an equally magical garden. Our tiny was built for family and dear friends to come and enjoy Providence, and all the surrounding wonders. When it’s not shared with our family and friends we open it up here. It’s what Airbnb was when it first started, just regular folks opening up their spaces for people who love traveling and exploring or who might be curious about tiny house living. We converted the detached garage into a tiny house with a queen size Murphy bed that converts into a large sofa, a small kitchen with refrigerator, induction stove, and a full bathroom. With two skylights above the sofa/Murphy bed, the space is full of light making it feel like you’re in the trees. The tiny house sits in the rear of the main house. It looks out on a shared patio space and garden that guests are welcome to enjoy. This is a perfect spot for people who enjoy exploring cities outside of the main tourist spots. If you’re looking for a sweet space to decompress or create, the tiny also fits the bill!
Siri was a wonderful host! Very polite and accomodating. It's also clear how much care was put into the interior of the tiny home. I'd easily recommend this space to anyone looking for a cozy stay in Rhode Island.
We had a wonderful stay in Siri’s tiny home! It was so cute and actually felt really spacious. Directions, communication, everything was top notch. It was a nice, peaceful area with easy street parking. Everywhere we planned to go (restaurants, breweries, museums) were a very short drive. We would definitely stay there next time we’re in Providence!
As advertised! Perfect tiny house. Perfect location. We got to meet the host and she was very welcoming. Very homey and comfortable for me and my fiancé. Highly recommended! Location is central to many places one may want to visit in Providence. THANK YOU SIRI!!
Historic tree lined neighborhood, that offers tranquility in the midst of being an eclectic urban center. An incredible rich, diverse, and quirky neighborhood, you can hear multiple languages while walking around and when the weather warms every car that passes by amplifies the feeling of summer with music that’ll make you involuntarily dance. We recommend walking around the neighborhood if you’re looking for a stroll - lots of cool houses, neighborhood characters, and the smell of beans and rice on every corner. We are four blocks from the heart of the Dominican community in Providence (Broad St/La Broa). South Providence/South Elmwood is filled with many recent immigrant families who bring a lovely energy to the place. You can find a lot of various small grocery stores catering to each community. The neighborhood is also an artist filled place with lots of families. There’s a bird clinic just down the street which means you can hear bird songs, chickens clucking, and other harmonies. You’re an easy bike ride to a lot of great places to eat, but there are no third-wave coffee shops around the corner (in case that’s what you’re looking for). BUT, we are a coffee loving household, so will gladly point you to one.
The spot is 3/4 of a mile from the large and beautiful city park: Roger Williams Park. You should definitely go to the park! It has a zoo, old carousel, walking paths, botanical garden, Japanese garden, small historical museum, and swan boats.
It is 2 miles from the heart of downtown Providence, where you’ll easily find lots to do with a quick web search. We have guidebooks linked to our profiles. We love spending time near the new pedestrian bridge, and other various green spaces across the city.
Always happy to give recommendations!
The house is two miles from downtown providence. You can often find ride share bikes and scooters in the neighborhood and there are dedicated bike lanes that take you right into downtown. There is street parking which is usually available right in front of the house. There are two main bus lines nearby, one on Broad and the other on Elmwood. Though a very walkable neighborhood, getting downtown—if that’s your aim—is best via bike/bus/car/ride share.
