Was a nice big house for families to stay in, tiles around pool was broken, some minor maintenance needed in the house otherwise was a quiet neighbourhood and close to shops.
We were a group of seven. Due to the cyclone threat in Cairns, we did not want to risk driving to Townsville. Only one adult (not from Cairns) was able to check in for the 4N stay, one day after the booking commenced. He arrived to an uncleaned house, dishes in sink, beds unmade etc. I contacted Townsville Holiday Rentals who investigated & advised there had been a miscommunication with the cleaners. They apologised, sent the cleaners immediately to clean the house. I was only refunded the cleaning fee. I don’t accept the explanation from THR as the cleaners would have a cleaning schedule & would know well in advance the dates of checkins & checkouts. I was not happy.
The house is beautiful, please note it is not an equip kitchen if you want to do some hosting you will not have enough plates. The pool is beautiful however the outside was dirty and rubbish needs to be picked up around the pool area. The inside of the house has good bedrooms and amenities are lovely.
The house has great potential, however, there are/were a multitude of maintenance items that need to be addressed. I will not list but Townsville Holiday Rentals (THR) have been advised of many, but not all; some general maintenance, others important and potentially serious safety issues, that needed prompt attention. They (THR) have advised that the safety items are being seen to. Tiana (our contact at THR) was very responsive in her replies to my messages. While we had a good time with our grandchildren at this residence, it was unfortunate that there were 'so many issues' that required attention. We hope the plethora of issues can be sorted to ensure future holiday makers can enjoy the full potential of this residence.
We are a family of 5 with a dog and had lovely stay. Beautiful luxury house with a pool.
