very cozy, spacious, well decorated home in a central location on the island which makes it easy to drive to places. the entrance to the parking lot of the property is extremely narrow and would be very difficult to navigate with a large SUV. thankfully, we had a small car. the inside of the house is very humid and we saw a few cockroaches in the bathroom, which apparently is a common occurrence in the Azores because there’s a big garden and nature right outside the property.

Die Wohnung ist sehr großzügig geschnitten und mit viel Liebe zum Detail und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wie in den vorangegangenen Bewertungen jedoch bereits erwähnt, ist das Raumklima sehr feucht und es riecht stark nach Moder und Schimmel, sodass wir unsere Jacken lieber über Nacht im Auto ließen, da alles diesen Geruch annahm. Nachdem man auf dem Stoffsofa saß, wurden die Kleider hierdurch feucht. Außerdem riechen die Abflüsse in den Bädern extrem. Wie vorherige Besucher ebenfalls, entdeckten wir zudem eine Kakerlake in unserem Schlafzimmer. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt hingegen ist der wunderschöne, riesige Garten, der sehr liebevoll bepflanzt ist. Aufgrund der starken Feuchtigkeit und des Geruchs würden wir die Wohnung allerdings nur mit Einschränkung empfehlen.

The Azores green villa is at a perfect place at the center of the island, so easy to discover by driving. Moreover the Hisbiscus villa is spacious, very well decorated and in a wonderful garden.

Very easy spot to find, as described in the listing. If you have any mobility issues, it is little walk to the rental from the parking on the road. There are parking spots by the rental, however you are advised to park on the road as the parking can fill up quickly in the busy tourist season. The unit is very nicely done. We experienced the same issue as others with smells from the bathroom drains, and found the plumbing is installed incorrectly. The pea drain is installed above the main drain from the sink and you can hear the liquids gurgle out of the pipes and soon afterward the smells from the drain start. When we arrived the bathroom window was open, presumably to help with the smells. The only other thing of note is the black mould on the walls above the heat pump in the living room, and under the sink and by the patio doors in the kitchen. Everything has a strong mildew and must smell. This is more than just a humidity problem. Those with sensitivities should be aware.
