The neighbourhood is a quiet residential area.

We are 20 mins walk into Petersfield town centre (where you will find plenty of cafe's, restaurants and shops) and 25 minutes walk to the train station. The Heath/lake (cafe and pedlo hire in the summer) is 5 mins walk from our house as is the Taro leisure centre (swimming pool, gym, spa with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room) is 5 mins walk from our house.
There are various lovely walks from our doorstep into the South Downs national park. There's a great deer park with restaurant/cafe and deli 40 mins walk across fields and along a river. Or you may prefer to walk 40mins in another direction to Durliegh Marsh farm where you can pick your own fruit/vegetables, shop for local produce in their shop or have lunch/cream tea in their cafe. If you just fancy a 1/2 walk and coffee there's a lovely loop from our house along a river and past the Taro where you can pick up a coffee to go or they have a few sofas!
Guildford, Gunwharf Key in Portsmouth and London are easily accessible on the train. Chichester, Winchester, Petworth, Midhurst, East Meon valley are all approx 30 mins drive away.
There's so much to do and see in the local area- walking, cycling, fly fishing in the Meon valley, visit to West Wittering beach (30-40 min drive) where you can learn to surf or walk along a beautiful beach, shopping for antiques in Petworth, clothes boutiques in Petersfield, mountain biking in Queen elizabeth park, national trust nearby - the list goes on!
