We can't express how VERY MUCH we enjoyed our stay at Ruby's wonderful place! She's very thorough with directions, check-in instructions, and ease of entry into the house and into your room. So helpful! She's the consummate host: a grand tour upon arrival, assuring us that her home was our home. The Frenchmen Room upstairs was perfect! Large closet to tuck everything away, super cozy bed and bedding, large bathroom with great shower, TV w/all the choices. We had an upstairs living area to spread out, including a small fridge. We enjoyed wine on our private balcony. So peaceful. Great breakfasts...especially those farm fresh eggs! We fell in love with the gorgeous setting...a beautiful home situated on both a pond and on a small bayou. We wandered around the property, visited the chickens, sat under the fabulous old oak trees. We even brought my elderly parents over for a visit...they loved it! We enjoyed our chats with Ruby...so impressed with all she's done there. Highly recommend!!
I stayed Saturday night, and Sunday there’s a late checkout with brunch. It’s the best red beans I’ve had. She’s extremely polite and personable. Very responsive and a great person. I’d recommend if you ever need a place to stay in the area to go here!!
Peaceful and beautiful getaway with a wonderful hostess. The layout of the facility and building allow for the guest to have as much or little contact with others as they choose. Likewise the hostess - who was absolutely wonderful - will join in conversation as much or as little attention as you wish. She pays attention and does all those little things that make your stay so pleasant. I will definitely be coming back.
We both had a superb stay & Ruby was an excellent host. The breakfast was plentiful & delicious. There was a welcome drink & snacks available on arrival & a separate landing lounge to watch a film if we wanted. Thank you Ruby - we’d recommend your lovely home to all! Kate & Tom x
