Black Bay Lodge was a perfect setting for our family of four. Plenty of space, great kitchen and pantry, and beautiful outdoor patio/deck. We especially loved the access to the park for walks!

Everything was first class. Kaari is a great communicator. Doesn't get any better. House was spotless, and grounds well taken care of . Spent 2 nights around outside fire pit swaping stories. Appreciated wood there for us when we arrived. With 3 couples, everyone was able to be comfortable. We could eat around a table inside & out. Dd a lot of cooking, and the kitchen was great! Well stocked--pots , pans, utensils, plust good spice rack and many basics. A couple of us went kayaking on Rainy Lake. We called up Rainy Lake Acquatics to reserve the equipment, who then delieverd it to us at the Rainy Lake Visitors Center. The Visitor's Center was maybe a 5 minute drive from the cabin, and only a 15 minute paddle away. We could keep the Kayaks at the cabin's public dock, a 5 minute walk from the cabin. Super convenient! And we paddled across the water to Voyageurs National Park to explore. Worked out great!

Great place and location. Clean, quiet and firepit was a great hangout.

Was very clean and accommodating. A dishwasher would have been nice, but we managed just fine. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and family.
