The place was clean. The views were fantastic. The construction directly next door was not disclosed! After stating this to Gabriele, he became non-apologetic stating he couldn’t update the Airbnb description. He stated he couldn’t track “all construction in the town”. It was directly next store. It started at 8am to 5pm so if you plan on having a nice tea on the terrace with the amazing views you will be hearing construction people yelling to each other and the drills. If he had disclosed and I booked the Airbnb, I would not be rating him 2 stars or even if he try to provide some apologetic gesture this may have been a 3 star. In addition, the A/C never worked during our stay after asking him multiple times. He never offered to come by and look at it or get someone to come by to get it working. The bottom line, amazing views, too noisy and not an supportive owner.

Extremely well refurbished accommodation with excellent views over Lake Como. Great location between hotel Royal Victoria and Villa Monastero. Gabriele was very responsive to all communication. 100% ideal base to visit not only Verenna, but all the town in this area of lake Como.. Would definitely love to return very soon. The weather was fab as well.

We had a wonderful stop on our honeymoon at Gabriele’s place at Varenna. The view from the bedroom terrace was even better than the photos. The house was small yet homely, perfect for two with great heating for winter and Netflix. Location was incredible, tucked just away but very close to everything and some small shops and a bakery next door, would recommend the coffee at the bar next door. Gabriele was responsive and helpful with checkin. Thank you for a lovely stay in Lake Como

I have stayed in so many airbnbs however I think this has been the best place I’ve ever stayed. Can’t recommend highly enough. The views from the balconies are absolutely stunning, perfect location. Amenities are excellent, the floors are heated, dishwasher, great stove top and kitchen is fully equipped. Gabriele was very responsive and helpful. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Gabriele’s Place is an amazing place to stay in Varenna. Spread over three levels the apartment affords beautiful and breathtaking views across Lake Como. The apartment is spotlessly clean and well organised so you can make the most of your stay. The train station and ferry terminal are only 10-15 minutes away. Bedding is very comfortable and bathroom has all the amenities required. Thanks again for a wonderful stay. Gabriele’s Place and Varenna a great combination for visiting Lake Como.
