Lovely house in a small group of buildings outside of Brandon. Although next to a busy road, the noise was not a problem. The house sleeps 8+ adults and has a really lovely open plan kitchen, dining area and living space with a great woodburner. The master bedroom is huge and comfortable. The owner has installed an additional new downstairs toilet and shower room. There is a caretaker on site. The house is in a great location for visiting Durham and Hamsterley Forest. The owner popped by to say hello and make sure we had everything we needed which was lovely of him.

We had a lovely stay here, really nice place with lots of space and good location for exploring Durham. Owners were very responsive.

Very nicely done up house, pictures are pretty accurate. Clean and tidy, good kitchen facilities. Location was good and even though just off a road, it's quite quiet and doesn't disturb sleep (everyone slept well!). Straightforward check-in instructions and clear directions to address, and friendly communication. They do only have 'office hours' responses in the app which wasn't ideal for more routine questions during a weekend stay, but there was an emergency number available - responsive and quick to bring toilet roll which was missing initially on arrival. During office hours very fast and helpful responses! We accidentally left some items and the cleaners found and kept these, and they helped send back to us
