My stay at this Airbnb was absolutely delightful! Johannes was the most attentive, polite, and helpful host I've encountered so far in my travels. The area was incredibly peaceful and beautiful, providing a serene escape. The apartment itself was immaculately clean and stylishly furnished, making our stay very comfortable. We would definitely love to stay here again when we revisit the city. Highly recommended!
One of the best Airbnb! Very thoughtful, very clean, all photos show the apartment. Nice view from the windows. The guys are very helpful and friendly, it’s clear that this place is very important to them. Thanks again for everything
Amazing find! Superb location by the canal opposite Vondelpark with easy access to the center. Personalized service by Johannes - it’s really does not describe it completely. Definitely one of the bests Airbnb ever (we have experienced more then 30 countries). we had a wonderful time, definitely recommended ! If you can effort the price shown - have no doubt to book the place, it will be the right choice.
Our BnB is situated, in Amsterdam Old South, midst of a historic houserow of authentically Dutch gabled houses right at a larger canal called “Schinkel”. As it is an active canal where leisure boats of all sizes but also large working ships transporting sand and other cargo . Check out some pictures below!.
The bridge opening for the taller ships is a spectacle that can be watched especially well at the restaurant/bar/café Gent with tables right next to the bridge (all visible from our BnB room of course!). The location atmosphere is vibrant and authentic with many bars and restaurants locals and expats love just a short stroll away. The same goes for supermarkets, convenience stores, wine stores and more. Chances are high that you’ll be quickly captivated by the charm and character of this unique location.
Another highlight is our proximity to the renowned Vondelpark, just over the bridge. This beautiful, lively, and adventurous park invites you to explore its winding paths, serene lakes, and vibrant green spaces. Though it becomes a bustling place once it get sunny and warm as its wideness and beauty is drawing locals, expats and tourists in its ban.
"The district Old-South – Amsterdam’s former cultural gateway to the city that was developed in the end of the 19th century.
It is home to some of the richest neighbourhoods of Amsterdam because most parts are outside of the buzz and chaos from the center but close to famous Vondelpark. Serene tree-lined streets with pretty gabled façades and elegant balconies make it one of the city’s most desirable addresses where you can still find the authentic life of locals and by now local expats."
Very important of course: with excellent public transport connections, you can effortlessly explore all that Amsterdam has to offer – we are 2.5 km south-east of the center. Within minutes, you’ll reach tram stations that can whisk you away to the city center, Museum Square, and other iconic landmarks. Alternatively, embark on a scenic walk or bike ride, following the beautiful routes that lead you to the heart of the city.
Discover the magic of Amsterdam from the comfort of our cozy BnB, where the charm of the canal and the allure of the neighborhood come together to create a truly remarkable stay.
