What a magical place! We had a lovely few days at this beautiful cottage. It’s decorated perfectly and so peaceful. Susan was great and really responsive.
What an incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, we knew we would want to come back (already booked to return in July). The cottage is stunning, immaculate and well equipped for a wonderful stay. We spent hours sitting in the garden, enjoying the views over the hills filled with sheep and lamb and the stream running through the garden. Peaceful and idyllic on par with a fairy tale. Susan and James we were welcoming and responsive, providing lots of helpful tips on things to enjoy in the area. Well worth trying some wine from their vineyard as well! Really enjoyed the duck eggs from the honesty box at the end of the drive (and took some home too). Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside stay!
An absolutely stunning little cottage. It's location is perfect for getting away and finding some peace and quiet. It has great walking locations nearby, and there are plenty of places to visit in the area, and the cottage itself is also perfect for a cosy stay indoors with the fire. The host has made a fantastic use of the space and it was clean and tidy. Will certainly be visiting again! Thanks for having us.
This cottage is out of a storybook! The location was peaceful filled with the sounds of the babbling brook and views of the wildflowers, sheep, and Welsh hills. Every bit of the cottage is carefully curated, and Susan and her mother-in-law went out of their way to be friendly and helpful hosts. When we arrived there were fresh eggs, Welsh cakes, apple juice, and fresh wildflowers for us. Susan’s local recommendations were perfect. Thankful we were able to visit their lovely cottage!
The Mid-Wales borders is home to a haven of bucolic views, ancient woodland, heather-covered moorland, and verdant soul-stirring landscapes.
Our low-intervention vineyard and boutique holiday cottage's location in the foothills of the Radnor Forest makes for a restorative base to recharge after a day of exploring.
Set in the tranquil and historic Radnor Valley, also known as the Walton Basin in the Welsh Marches, you’ll be surrounded by views of Hergest Ridge - home to the Offas Dyke path - on one side, and the steep hills of the Radnor Forest on the other.
Explore our local waterfall, Water-Break-Its-Neck, enchanting woods, horse-riding trails, stunning mountain biking and road cycling routes, and a range of picturesque walks for all abilities.
Our local village in New Radnor has a well-stocked corner shop with fresh bread, meats and cheeses called Esc's. In the neighbouring village of Old Radnor you'll find the Landmark Trust restored pub The Harp Inn, which has incredible views across the Radnor Valley - perfect for watching the sun go down with a pint of Butty Bach.
It's best to travel by car to our cottage. There is ample parking for 4 cars on the cottage's private drive. You can use our cottage as a base to take bikes up the mountains or go pony trekking or for long walks. We recommend travelling by car as this is the best way to reach the cottage due to limited local buses and taxi. It's the best way to explore the surrounding local villages, towns, nature reserves and beauty spots.

I love art, design, travel, food and drink. I couldn't live without trips to local farmers', bakeries, historical buildings, museums and gardens. The seasons never stand still here in rural mid-Wales and I love walks and wild swimming with our young family and jogs around hills when not at the vineyard and farm. If I could eat my way around the world, I would!
