Thuan’s house matches description. Well maintained and very clean. The two AC work perfectly for the hot weather. There is a miniature fish pond and his sister has dogs. Our kids had a great time. There’s a secondary school near his place which added a lot fun to our kids. There are lots of coconut trees and little canals. Small coconut workshops. If this is what you come for, you will see a lot of it. Location wise, it’s certainly not a touristy area so the pros is you are away from the crowds and tourist scams. However I find it challenging to search for any information through website. Thuan speaks good English which made the communication very easy.

Nice "homestay" type of accommodation in a small village. Thuan was very nice and guided us on a bike tour (included). We also did the boat tour which was very nice. We had free access to a scooter, which was great to explore the surroundings and also because there aren't too many things in the immediate vicinity. We had breakfast every day and many other meals and his sister's place which is just a few minutes away on foot. Prices were very reasonable. All in all, a nice stay. Don't expect luxury or lots of action, but do expect to get a nice feel for the Vietnamese countryside.

The man, the myth, the legend…Thùan will set you up for success with transportation, dining, fun and educational activities and plenty of coconuts :) Always responsive, super knowledgeable, funny, friendly and kind. You can rest easily in clean and comfortable accommodations with ice cold air con. You will feel welcomed by his family and neighbors as you explore on foot, bicycle or scooter. Do not miss a chance for a local tour with him as he is very experienced and connected to local artisans with much to share. Delicious food vendors and restaurants everywhere you look, also a nearby market and super market, so dining out or cooking is affordable and easy. We spent a week and every day was full of beauty and surprises. His entire family is genuinely kind and welcoming, smart, funny and hard working. If we could give him a million star rating we would! We are well traveled and this stay was beyond our expectations in every way. If you have the chance to stay here, don’t hesitate.

Thuan, his family and place are one of our best experiences of Vietnam. You are made to feel so welcome and his genuine enthusiasm and love for his country and region is shared with all. His knowledge of his country is incredible and he is very proud to share it with you. The cycle tour is well worth it and the boat trip is full of surprises and an amazing day out. The Mekong Delta is stunning and Thuan’s homestay is a must for anyone wanting to visit this area. The accomodation was perfect for our family of 6. We also shared a cooking experience with his family which was a wonderful opportunity. We would highly recommend this place as a base to visit the Mekong Delta.

This stay was a perfect way to experience the delta. It was genuine and authentic. We did the boat and cycle tour - would definitely recommend. It covered the tourist elements but felt like we were observing the realities of delta life. Thuan is a legend, great host and guide.
