La Prediera di San Giovanni di Querciola is a typical small Italian village immersed in the greenery and history of the Apennines. There is a restaurant, a bar, an agritourism with restaurant and lake for fishing and horse riding, a dairy that produces an excellent Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. The closest equipped village is Casina, 8 km away.
Crossed by CAI (Club Alpino Italiano) tracking routes this is a prime area for cycling and there are many attractions nearby but a car is needed to get around.
The closest city is Reggio Emilia, 25 km away: from here, with a few hours of travel by car or train, you can reach the major Italian cities (Milan, Venice, Verona, Turin, Parma, Bologna, Florence, Rome) and return home at the evening.
Within a radius of 25 km you can also access the entire historical circuit of Matilde di Canossa and enter the nature of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine Park declared a Unesco heritage site. You come across the Pietra di Bismantova first: a little further on you reach the ridge of Monte Cusna, the Ventasso, the Cerreto... where, in addition to tracking, horse riding and fishing, you can go climbing, there are cable cars and ski resorts as well as a proven food and wine tourism and a lot of local economy.
The sea can be reached to the east through the Pradarena Pass, one arrives in Tuscany in Massa Carrara, Forte dei Marmi or through Aulla, one arrives in Liguria in La Spezia, Porto Venere, Lerici. To the west you reach the Adriatic coast at Rimini, Riccione. In both directions it only takes a couple of hours.
The Alps can be reached in three hours, the closest point is Trentino through Verona.

BY CAR A1 motorway, Reggio Emilia exit, proceed on the SP63 (Albinea-Regnano-San Giovanni di Querciola) for a panoramic itinerary or on the SS63 (Vezzano Sul Crostolo-Casina-San Giovanni di Querciola) for a faster itinerary.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT train to Reggio Emilia stop: there are only two direct trips on weekdays to San Giovanni di Querciola with Bus Line 01: there is no public transport at night or on public holidays.
BY TAXI it is possible to use taxis and blue cars at any time.
